Had a great time at the Oasis concert in Chicago the other night. I really enjoyed hearing the music with "guitarist ears", and seeing how rhythm and melody work to complement each other. It made me appreciate how what we create on our guitars has the power to resonate on a deep level with so many people. I think we can sometimes lose sight of that when we are alone at home just practicing without an audience. I think we should all consider ourselves lucky to be involved in something that can bring so much joy to so many:))

Has there been a concert you've attended, or a video that you've seen, that inspired you immediately to wanting to a better guitarist. It's happened to me many times along the way. Probably most recently after seeing Jimmy Page in "Becoming Led Zeppelin"

Hi everyone...random question: how many of you have played or are currently playing in a band? What kind of music are you playing? I play rhythm (and some lead) guitar in a 1980s cover band, and I sing about half the songs as well. I find that the pressure/thrill of playing in front of other people really helps me to focus my practice sessions when my band has an upcoming gig. What are your thoughts?
