The Key to Consistent Creation
Posting daily / multiple times a day has become the new standard in growing your brand on social media. I’m a firm believer that, for short form content, we’re in a landscape that asks you to be posting at least once every day to have lasting success, if not more than once. The obstacle many creators face is the desire to always push out content that is very high quality, viral worthy, fresh, interesting, etc. This is always the GOAL, but it’s okay if it isn’t always the outcome. Some of my best performing videos have taken me literally 5 minutes to make. On the flip side, some videos that took me hours have absolutely flopped. The optimal content that you want to figure out, is what type of video is somewhat enjoyable/interesting for you to make, that you can create on a reasonably consistent basis. Think of it this way: Is there a video that you can batch create 7 different versions of? If you set out a couple of hours one day to shoot content - could you create all the videos that you need for the week in that one day? What would that video look like? This is a great question to use as a foundation for your content creation. Yes, it’s important to try multiple types of video to figure out what content performs well, and what content you enjoy making. If you can post daily while going through that process, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you can geow. Find a video format that you can batch create, and then when you feel inspired throughout the week, create and post additional content, and eventually you strike gold, and figure out multiple types of content that you can create with viral potential.
