The mental side of uncertainty in business 😵‍💫🙃
How do you keep yourself stable and focused amidst the inevitable chaos and uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship? It's part of the territory being an "entrepreneur" - you're constantly testing, validating, iterating, etc. You can't possibly know what's going to come back as data before you put something out. I think there are consequences to not having stability in certain aspects of your life (I think of Maslows Hierarchy of Needs here too - we must have certain needs fulfilled before we can focus our energy on things like creating and thriving). It takes a toll on your brain & mind and that's so easy to overlook because you're busy testing and iterating after all... This was a major shift for me after leaving the stability of corporate & it's steady stream of income, data, and expectations I had to learn to embrace uncertainty. How do you manage uncertainty? 👇 Or what questions do you have about how to? 👇

I realized I didn't "Know, Like, & Trust" myself
There came a point in my entrepreneurial journey where I had heard it enough times - the "IT" factors for making sales. The "Know, Like & Trust" to build rapport with people to ultimately reach your goal of selling. I heard it a lot on social media as I was learning sales, and experienced it in real-world settings too when I was in staffing sales recently. And it makes sense - people have to Know, Like, and Trust you before they'll buy from you (aka. give you their money!). The PROBLEM was that I had self-abandoned, neglected my own emotions, and rejected myself so much that I looked in the mirror and saw that I didn't KNOW who I was.... There was no way I could LIKE myself as a result and OF COURSE I didn't TRUST myself! 🙄 (so why would anyone else? - the results showed in past businesses btw 💀) Skool has presented so much inspiration from motivated, kind, and genuine people that I'm re-invigorated being on this platform and why I aim to hold space for open conversations for people who might be experiencing (or have in the past) similar personal struggles. Have you had to rebuild trust with yourself? What helped you the most?? 👇👇 For me, it was facing the demons and teaching myself that I had the ability to take care of myself - meditations, mindful rest, music, and keeping promises to myself by executing on tasks. 👍 Undoubtedly, it impacts the entrepreneurs revenue stream btw. I think the deeper personal side is a goldmine for those who may have the skills, but also these types of mental/emotional blocks.... 💰💸

Flipping a scarce 💰 mindset to an abundant one
I was at a coffee shop recently, standing behind a struggling mother whose toddler got into the treats near the counter (despite being told not to). I wanted to help her out but didn't know how. Then, after both of us had paid for our coffees she came back and put the opened banana bread her toddler had just opened on the counter and walked away to get her wallet. I saw my opening and took it - I paid for the banana bread for her. 🧐I realized how easy & nice that felt compared to the dilemma I had in deciding how much to tip because of my slim budget at the time. The scarce mindset was there for the tip, but an abundant one was there for the banana bread. It was easy in the moment, but I've struggled with it immensely in general. If you've grown your income over the years, you know how to to at least take a step in this direction so I'm curious -- how have you shifted that money mindset for yourself? What tips would you give someone struggling with it? 👇 🥂

Insisting on your zone of genius 💡🧠
Hello future people! I'm leaning into my "zone of genius" method of communication and connection, which is the spoken word. I'm building a content pipeline that originates with my voice/video recordings and repurposes the transcripts into articles, discussion points, etc. for this skool community, youtube, and Substack. 👍 I've tried writing articles from scratch, directing AI to write them for me, and now this. It's an interesting process learning how to take my own words via transcript and reshape them into long-form articles! Bottom line - this post is partially me trying to "build in public" and partially sharing a thought process around capitalizing on your zone of genius instead of letting expectations or platforms dictate how you should share yourself/ideas with the world. What was it - "the reasonable man adapts himself to the world, the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man"? (George Bernard Shaw) I think some level of stubbornness is needed for entrepreneurs to believe in themselves, optimize themselves, and subsequently offer their best selves to the world. 🦾 Have you done this too - found creative ways to live in your zone of genius in this era of business & social media? Drop it here - I'm fascinated... 👇 Cheers! 🍻

Let's be real here
Hello people of the future !!! I just shared this video on Tiktok and felt it was a pretty genuine expression of how I'm still seeking to find my energy. I've been told I should be a public speaker, that I'm interesting to listen to, that I'm a great conversation..... But skills and abilities don't just magically translate to any setting at any time where people throw money at you. (Duh right? But socials clouded that for me) I'm still finding my voice and seeking to get my reps in, but I believe in my true self and I believe that living that experience of "finding myself" is exactly the kind of blueprint that can help people, and be the type of real content a lot of us are craving these days in our digital world. Cheers for your attention 🥂💙 How'd I do? Any speaking tips? Drop me a line 👇
