Visibility Is Not Luck
A lot of creators think visibility happens only when the algorithm feels generous. But visibility is usually built from small, repeated actions. Showing up. Commenting. Sharing your offer clearly. Letting people know what your community is about. Supporting other creators so they start recognizing your name. SKOOL Directory is not just a place to drop a link and disappear. It works best when creators actually use it to connect, discover, promote, and build trust. Your offer needs exposure. But your name needs familiarity too. That is where the magic starts. Example: Instead of only posting “Join my community,” share who it helps and what problem it solves. Example: Instead of waiting for members to find you, comment on other creator posts and start real conversations. Example: Instead of promoting once, show up consistently so people remember what you do. What is one thing you want more people to know about your community or offer this week?

I like people to know they can access the magazine without joining the community (cause its open and free) but can join if they want a message once a month to say the mag is out. A lot of free skools are still locked to members only (and rightly so)... but not the magazine. That's for everyone. We want all Skoolers to at least have read it once.

@Ina Tenniswood i agree but I find with having joined a fairly large number of communities I struggle to stay current with all of them (even though I try check in with).
The Quiet Creator Problem
I’ve noticed something about creators. Some of the best ones are the quietest. They have good communities. They have real offers. They actually care about helping people. But they are not always the loudest in the room. So people do not find them. Not because their offer is bad. Not because their community is not valuable. But because they are not visible enough. That is one of the reasons the Skool Directory matters. It gives creators a space to be seen without having to scream online all day. You can be honest. You can be clear. You can show people what you do. And little by little, creators start recognizing each other. Example: A creator with a small but valuable community can still attract the right members when they explain their offer clearly. Example: A quiet creator can build trust by commenting, answering questions, and supporting others. Example: A simple weekly post can remind people what you offer without feeling pushy. Do you feel like your community is visible enough right now, or are you still trying to get seen?

I hate to feel pushy (while understanding the need to self promote). I do tend to let time work in our favour and just keep going till everyone knows what we can offer.

But, to your qu. A weekly or monthly reminder feels fine.

Africa!!! Here we come!!! 🤩
Hey friends! I’ve got a question for you. As some of you know (and for those who are new), my family and I are heading to Africa this summer! We’re planning a safari in Zimbabwe, then heading to Cape Town and Johannesburg, and we’re also hoping to see Victoria Falls. Now, I’d love your advice: should we spend more time in Cape Town and skip Victoria Falls, or should we make sure to visit Victoria Falls and maybe miss out on some fun activities in Cape Town, like whale watching or that shark boat tour (my husband mentioned something about sharks, but I can’t remember the exact name)? I absolutely love anything animal-related, and it would be amazing for my 10-year-old twins. I’m a bit worried that Victoria Falls might not be as exciting for the kiddos. What do you think? All my friends with African travel experience, I’d love your input! Thank you!

@Mark Tenniswood maybe robin island tour on small ferry to island off the coast (think, alcatraz). Maybe wine farms or a whisky and chocolate tour, red bus tour of peninsula is actually very good here - i learned new things, tandem guided paragliding off lions head, hotair balloons in stellenbosch, very cold rock pool swims and brick a brack shopping, while eating pastries. Parasailing down the side of the big mountain. Sunset boat cruises or harbour tours (shorter) often popular. Some people like local walking tour with local guide (some free options, some paid)...if you like walking 🚶‍♂️. Then, the classic sea side mall visit with a big (ish)wheel with view of the mountain. There is a roof top thrill ride on top of one of the biggest buildings in the city centre if you like adrenaline and a crazy view.

Make their own rules (every 30 days or so it is a new crowd and they figure it out with minimal guidance from me).
