How do you handle “failure” when climbing?
I have my own way of thinking about what it means when I don’t get to the top of climbs, it has changed across time But I’m curious what other think about when they can’t get to the top of a climb?

I think i gotta clip stick my way to the top to be able to project that section then go back and run it ground up and actually tick that climb!

@Danae Robinson exactly if it has the word climbing in it then it's climbing!

- What gym/where you climb now Im currently climbing in the LA area i typically climb at Stoney point 2x a week and then I'll travel somewhere like malibu creek, echo cliffs, new jack city, or joshua tree for a day trip or overnight trip to be able to get the most bang for my buck of travel! - What you want to learn here I hope to improve and gain more skills to be able to climb safer and become a stronger climber and more skilled climber. - One climbing GOAL you have for the next year In the next year I hope to climb my first 5.11 trad route, I want to lead a multi pitch over 5 pitches and i want to teach my girlfriend how to rock climb and not just belay. - Why you love climbing I love climbing bc i love the feeling of getting high up and feeling accomplished from what I've done. I love overcoming the problems on the route.

@Ryan Hegarty trad is so cool though I definitely need to do more easy leads to build up my confidence! I also need to do some roof cracks so I can build up my confidence in gear and not be afraid of falling on it yk!

@Ryan Hegarty but to be fair it's all about experience bc it only gets easier once you start!
NGA News #2 - Thanks for the group so far! Quick Updates!
Community updates: - "Wins" wall has been working super well. If you are working on/ sent something in the gym/outside shoot a post and let us know! If you have a photo share it or link to an instagram video. - Big thanks for all of the engagement, positivity and sharing of stoke over the last week - it's all super exciting! - While the videos are great and I truly hope they help everyone here climb higher grades, I'm really liking everyone sharing their wins and questions in here and helping each other out. Lets keep that going!! Educational resources: - New mini course on route planning being edited right now - As stated in the last update - I will be aiming for 1 mini course per week based on everyones feedback. The first one will be next Wednesday and I will aim to upload one every week following - These videos air aimed to help share what works for me, and any feedback or request for future videos will be taken into consideration. I want to build these educational resources together with you guys (and gals)! Personal stoke: Might get out for the first outdoor day of the season tomorrow! I hope everyone is sending hard this weekend. Rock on! p.s. I have a video outdoor climbing anchors course I made last year, would you guys want that in here?
