Today's Workout
A little fatigued today so I threw together a quick but efficient workout. I had to get something in because I will be out of commission for the next two weeks - I am having a small inguinal hernia fixed tomorrow. I won't be allowed to do much besides walk until it heals up a bit. The main portion of the workout was a 12 minute EMOM of the Armor Building Complex (ABC) Double kettlebells (16 kg) - 2 cleans, 1 press, 3 squats Then as a finisher I did 14 goblet squats on the slant board using a 20 kg bell (this made an even 50 squats), 10 pull ups, and 5 minutes of jump rope. See y'all in a couple weeks. 💪

Burpees & Bells
Did an oldie but a goodie today. I think it's another one I got from Lebe Stark. I did all movements with a 20 kg bell. Round 1: 25 reps Two pump burpee Clean and press R Clean and press L Round 2: 25 reps One pump burpee Goblet squat If you are keeping track that is: 50 burpees 75 pushups 25 clean and press R 25 clean and press L 25 hand to hand swings (you have to switch hands to do the second clean and press) 25 two handed dead cleans (you have to pick the bell up to do the goblet squat) 25 goblet squats Great stuff, definitely recommended.

@Rick Robie I learned to love the burpee, and you can too! 😂

Did this one again today with a 20 kg bell. This is one of my favorites.
Burpee Long Cycle
Today I did the burpee long cycle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks-lDaNY2xg I used two 16 kg bells and I did 25 reps. As a finisher I did 25 one pump burpees and 10 pull ups. Quick and effective.
The Man Maker Complex
I did the kettlebell man maker complex today: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IoQgUMwGV48 Pushup to Renegade Row R Pushup to Renegade Row L Double clean to Thruster. I did 10 of those with 16 kg bells and my finisher was: 10 pushups 20 goblet squats (1 bell) on the slant board 10 double half snatches 1 minute static double kettlebell overhead hold
Total Body vs. Bodypart Split
A lot of us here are faced with having to train in tight time windows. Whether that be because of kids, business, or whatever, it puts us in a situation where we have to make the decision to go DEEP or WIDE with whatever workout we do. In other words we can go DEEP into a single body part or single movement, doing just that for the 10-15 minutes that we have to train…Or we can go WIDE with a more well rounded total body approach. Me personally, I’m big on avoiding the creation of imbalances, so I always urge my clients who consistently face these time availability conundrums to go WIDE and train total body. Not only does it have the tendency to help you avoid creating muscle imbalances, but it also helps to make you move more synergistically given the nature of total body movements that I advocate for WITH these types of workouts. Here’s a great example of one that I just shared on YouTube.

Just tried this one. I really liked it. The problem is my left shoulder won't allow me to go as heavy as I want. I can't do a kneeling press with a 20 kg bell with that arm, so I had to use a 16 kg bell for the workout. Next time to make up for the loss of weight I will do more reps.

@Chandler Marchman Yes. I had a laterjet procedure done on my left shoulder to repair it back in 208, and now I have limited range of motion. This is a good description of how it was put back together: https://melbourneshoulderrehab.com.au/latarjet-procedure-recovery/ You can see where the tendon was reattached. The shoulder is very secure but it limits mobility and creates certain angles that make overhead difficult. I can do just about everything the same with my left side except overhead. I am also right handed so my right is going to be slightly stronger.
