I deployed my first Intelligent Assistant: How I overcame internet outages to succeed🌍
Building a RAG application from Central Africa means learning to dance with network instability.💻 For my first app, data ingestion into the vector database was a trial by fire. With frequent drops and high latency, a single-shot upload was out of the question. My solution? I built a resilient ingestion script: ✅ Batching: Breaking data into manageable chunks. ✅ Checkpoints: Automatic progress tracking. ✅ Retry Logic: 60 automatic retries to survive connection drops. After 3 days of perseverance, my app is live! Tech isn't just about code; it's about building systems that withstand real-world constraints. 🚨 Anthropic wants to hit pause on AI and they're right. But it will probably never happen.
Last Thursday, Anthropic published something unusual for an AI lab: A proposal for global coordination to slow down or temporarily suspend the development of frontier AI. Their argument? Societal structures, governments, and alignment research can no longer keep up with the pace of progress. The internal numbers they shared are staggering: → Engineer productivity multiplied by 8 → 80% of Anthropic's code is now written by Claude → Claude optimizes code 52× faster than a human This is what's called recursive self-improvement: an AI becoming capable of training its own successors faster, with less human input. A loop that feeds itself. Anthropic isn't calling for a unilateral stop. They want a coordinated global framework like nuclear arms treaties so no player benefits from someone else pausing. see all the content and my point of view on my linkedin post here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/sikati-yves-joseph-039215330_artificialintelligence-ai-anthropic-activity-7469665063080144896-_KWI?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAFNTSu0BMmAIuDsPU-opNQXNfJE12Ba-Vg4 #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #Anthropic #Claude #FutureOfAI #AfricaAI #TechAfrica

The "Augmented Human": My self-taught learning journey
💡 How I accelerate my learning curve. My learning field has always been global: YouTube, technical documentation, and open-source communities. Today, we are living in the era of the "Augmented Human." I don’t use AI to "do the work for me," but as a high-speed copilot to dive into technical depths. My golden rule? Never leave a question without a deep answer. Recently, while building a complex RAG system, I hit a technical wall. Instead of looking for a quick fix, I challenged my AI copilot: "How do you know this? Are you using a RAG architecture in the background?" This led to a fascinating exploration of parametric vs. non-parametric memory the difference between what a model "learns" during training and what it "retrieves" from an external database. The lesson: Learning in the AI era isn't about memorizing answers; it’s about asking the right questions. It’s about compressing years of theory into days of practical mastery. Don’t use AI to work less; use it to understand more and augment yourself. 🚀 Feel free to check my portfolio here 👉[https://urls.fr/0uW8HY]

😬My LinkedIn automation broke one morning and what i learned
Not my fault. Just this: "Requested version 20250401 is not active" 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 LinkedIn silently deprecated an API version on April 16. The native n8n LinkedIn node was still sending requests with the old version. Result → error 426. Everything stopped. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱 Migrated to native HTTP Request nodes. No more dependency on the official node. More control over what happens under the hood. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗲 Automating ≠ set and forget. APIs evolve. Versions get deprecated. An unmonitored workflow is a car with no maintenance. It runs until the day it doesn't. The bug became an improvement. Have you ever had a workflow fail silently and found out too late? 🌍My portfolio was visited in 15 countries in 21 days.
No paid ads. No SEO tricks. Just sharing my project in the AI and Data communities where I'm active and people wanted to see what I built. 180 visits · 15 countries · 21 days Top 3: · France (172) · United States (123) · Cameroon (70) What stood out: Africa showed up Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Congo, Benin. The Americas too US + Canada = 129 requests. French-speaking diaspora everywhere Guadeloupe, Martinique, Tunisia, UAE. My content travels. With zero budget. What this confirms: ✅ The audience exists ✅ They're curious ✅ Being visible in the right communities is enough to drive qualified traffic The lesson I'm taking away: Before thinking algorithms, ads or SEO show up consistently where your audience learns and connects. Everything else follows. 👇 Full country breakdown in the carousel. Which AI or Tech communities are you most active in right now? Drop it in the comments I'm genuinely curious where people are gathering. Visit my portfolio here:https://urls.fr/0uW8HY
