Learning from Questions
I know someone who is very good at asking questions. He often says, “Really?” “How so?” “Can you give me an example?” “What do you think?” When I keep asking “Why?”, I often cannot find the answer I am really looking for. His questions make people want to share more. They also make conversations feel more natural. This made me reflect on my own communication style. Maybe I don’t always need more answers. Sometimes I need a better question. I am learning how to put my thoughts into words.

After a busy week, it's finally Friday! I was looking forward to relaxing, but it's raining outside, which is a bit of a shame. I was hoping to get some sun over the weekend, go for a walk, and play some Pikmin.

Today, I was surrounded by a strange sense of boredom. It was one of those rare days off, yet by the end of it, I felt like I hadn’t really done anything at all. After finishing my workout in the morning, I planned to go for a bike ride. Unfortunately, not long after I left, it started raining. Since cycling was no longer an option, I found a coffee shop, settled in with a book, and spent most of the afternoon there until it was time to head home. Objectively, it wasn’t a bad day. I exercised, spent time reading, and enjoyed a quiet afternoon. But for some reason, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I should have done something more. Maybe that’s the downside of staying busy all the time. When a rare day of free time arrives, it’s easy to feel guilty for not being productive enough, even when you’re already doing things that are good for you. The strange thing is that rest itself is doing something. Reading a book in a coffee shop on a rainy afternoon doesn’t sound very exciting, but perhaps that’s exactly what I needed today. Even so, that lingering feeling of wanting to do something, yet not knowing what stayed with me all day. 🤒 Good night.

Taking a project worldwide
Making the world better and doing helpful things for people has been my dream since I was a child. Even today, this dream is still in my heart, and maybe now it finally has a chance to become real. In 2025, an old friend contacted me. She said: "Hey Sheng, we're building a project about don't make money idle in your wallet. Would you like to join us as a Growth Lead?" To be honest, I think this like a scam at first. But I replied:"Tell me more." Because, I was interested in building something useful. One simple sentence, one very early concept deck and 5 people. We started meeting and build every week. We moved fast, very soon the project from a simple idea to a prototype. Then we took the project went aboard. We pitched to investors, communities, traders, and potential partners in Abu Dhabi, Japan, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Today, we're still building. Fortunately, we've also achieved some milestones, we got some winning hackathons, support from foundations, privacy-focused organizations, and AI fintech associations. Without those achievements, or we could not keep going this long. So, is this entrepreneurship? Honestly, I don't know. It's not what I imagined starting a business would look like. But maybe, the dream I had as a child is finally starting to come true.

This post really made me cry. Maybe people see a project, but I see the many hours of work, conversations, and challenges behind it. What I admire is not your achievements, but the fact that you never gave up on your dream and are still moving forward today. Watching that dream slowly become real is very touching. I’m truly happy for you.😭😭😭

I woke up to the sound of rain again this morning. After getting dressed, I headed out feeling a little tired and stopped by McDonald’s for breakfast. After eating, I realized I had forgotten to bring my water bottle. As I started heading home to get it, I suddenly thought, maybe today should be a rest day. I’ve been feeling more fatigued than usual, and I didn’t want to risk an injury by forcing myself through a workout. Sometimes the smarter choice is knowing when to slow down. Back at home, I watched the Knicks play the Spurs. The second half was incredible. Watching the Knicks fight their way back into the game had my heart racing, and the comeback victory was absolutely thrilling. Later in the afternoon, I got back to work. Something unexpected happened today—an old client I hadn’t worked with in over a year reached out and invited me to participate in a new project. I felt genuinely honored. Moments like that remind me that even when you’re busy focusing on the next task, the work you’ve done in the past can continue to create opportunities for you. Work is a strange thing. It can be stressful, frustrating, and exhausting at times. Yet somehow, it can also be deeply rewarding and meaningful. Maybe that’s why we keep doing it. Good night.
