Vlog #10, It's all out-dated now..
Live Streaming Daily! - 1:00 PM UTC
The workflows from my old videos are out-dated now that claude clode exists.. So, I'm creating a skill that will drastically simplify the process fo creating an Expert Advisor. Honestly, I'm not sure if leaving the old videos up is a good idea, simply because they are already that out-dated, even though it's only been a year.. The pace of agentic AI is mindblowing. Connecting the MT5 MCP to Claude then prompting a one shot prompt like: "Here's the rules for the new EA, it's called 'xyz', use dummy paramters for organization, and run a backtest on these currency pairs one-by-one. Share the results" IS POSSIBLE NOW :0 It almost never gets compilaiton errors, or makes 'code' related mistakes, but it costs too many tokens, it's way too slow, and it leaves a mess behind. The tool I'm building (skill.md file) solves those problems, and I'm doing it live! Join the stream, or watch the videos of them later if you want to know what the process of building this tool was like :)

Hey CREWW - Get a FREE subscription for the BETA launch!
It's been a while, I've been working on buyabigboat.com It's almost done! Sorry for disappearing on you, but it'll all be worth it. I had to make it actually better than GPT at writing MQL5 code before I could come back. It took A LOT longer than I had anticipated, but your pacience was not for nothing.. DM me if you want a free Starter License, and it's yours :) Note: It's 'almost' done. The security is done, The functionality is done, and the architecture is done, but the front-end may still some issue - if you find any bugs please let me know!

Grid lock EA
Hi @Yousef Burhama What's the suggested minimum balance for the Grid Lock EA to trade with on GBPJPY?

$1000, but you could get away with as little as 500-600.. It’s going to depend on the parameters and how you space it out. Set larger grid distances (enter less) but also smaller profits (exit more) to make less money feasible. A better option would be the Silver Bullet EA if you want to enter with less money, because it will exit some positions while setting up the grid (reducing exposure) .. but the traditional grid is ultimately safer, because you’re hedging.. so it’s not just 1 sided exposure. Assuming you have more capital, and can handle more exposure, Gridlock is good, Assuming you want to take the full risk and enter with less capital Silver Bullet is good. That’s just my opinion though! Wait for the Fibonacci EA - it’s the best of both worlds :)

@John Musonda I wouldn't go below 400, the less you have the riskier it becomes. With 0.01 lot size, and the default parameter set (Which I've done lots of backtests to come up with - I believe it's optimal) it's still pushing it. I'll see if I can design a version that lets you go with less capital
GridTeam EA on mql5 marketplace
Hi Yousef, Can you look into creating good set files for a free grid trading EA on mql5 marketplace that looks promising. The name of the EA is GridTeam EA. Thanks in advance.

Hey, sure let me look into it. I skimmed through mql yesterday and found it - but didn't get the chance to really explore until now. I'll keep you updated!

Hey @Tim O I spent some time playing with it, trying to set up a parameter set that using a currency pair to offset another, kind of like partial hedging (kindof). I couldn't really get anything that works great. GridTeam is like an Grid system with full customization of the standard indicators - but the standard indicators aren't really great for a grid system.. My thoughts: Pretty cool EA, I like the structure of it. But I don't think that standard indicators work nicely for grid based entries.
