What does Breathwork mean to you?๐Ÿค”
I have a question here. If you hear the word breathwork, what do you think breathwork really is about? The reason I'm asking this is because I'm working a little bit on my messaging as I try to organically get more people in this community to grow and develop this community, but this morning I was talking with one of our members. She told me that a lot of people have a very different view on breathwork and different expectations, that maybe a lot of people don't really know what breathwork is about what its purpose is. So I'm curious here: What is your view on breathwork? What does it mean to you? When you learn breathwork, what do you expect to gain from it? Have a great day. Breathe well. Namaste. ๐Ÿ™

Yeah, I totally agree! I didn't even tell what it means for me..๐Ÿ˜… I have had a lot of challenges in life. I had a tough childhood and a few years ago I had a really, really long burnout and I was quite anxious and always overthinking, which came from a deeply rooted program in my subconscious mind. For a while, I've tried a lot of different hobbies. I've searched for happiness in materialistic things... Doctors, psychologists, nothing worked. And when I found breathwork, that was the thing I actually needed in my life. The thing I did not know I was searching for. The unshakeable inner calm. The ability to calm down the nervous system, which in my case was always on and has been in survival mode for years. As soon as I started breathwork, I could start working on the deeper levels, solving issues I was dealing with for years. I started experiencing a peace and a sense of fulfillment and contentment I never had experienced before. So, long story short, breathwork for me, means working on the deeper layers of ourselves through the nervous system and then enable growth from the inside out, and not the other way around. And that is exactly what I want to give to others who are also searching in life or dealing with stress. I want to be able to guide them the same life I am living now. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ™ Thank you for your valuable insight!

@Gail Clark Great story Gail, thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story as well! And that's also exactly why I'm creating these posts and asking these questions, so that future members who might be struggling with the same can learn and grow from this as well. Maybe there will be even some people reading this and noticing that breathwork brought them something they didn't even realized yet. ๐Ÿ™
What is the thing you are struggling with most doing Breathwork??๐Ÿ˜ซ
Often for me, it is still the challenge to stay in the here and now, to stay focused on the breathing and sink into this deeper level of consciousness, because I keep getting ideas, I keep planning my days, and I always have these thoughts like, "I have to remember to do this or to write down that so I don't forget it."๐Ÿคฃ... So I have a very busy mind, and it's all positive thoughts these days. ๐Ÿ€ however, that makes that often, not always, I'm still having a hard time really being in the here and now and really focusing on the present moment. What's Your's?

@Jose Montanez I totally agree with you. What helps is making the breath work and the meditation a non-negotiable, because often when I have excuses to not practice breathwork, that has all to do with restlessness. I don't want to sit with that monkey mind, as Gail Clark said. ๐Ÿ˜… And indeed, that is a part of the process... And what I do, but that is everybody's decision for themselves. I just wake up very early, like 5:30, even if I am not working. I wake up at 5:30 every day to start my day with yoga and breath work. I have the morning, when I'm most productive. In the evening, I carve out time for yoga and breath work as well... For me, this really helps. ๐Ÿ’ช

Wow, thank you for your extensive answer on this and your insights, because I can take something away here as well: Ready at the point where I can accept the fact that I have a lot of thoughts during breathwork or meditation. However, However, I knew, because I read a lot of books, that my thoughts are not true or that you can at least question your thoughts, whether they are true or not. I did not apply this in my breathwork and meditation session, so here's a little takeaway for me as well, because maybe I need to realize this more often during breathwork or meditation. Thank you for your input!๐Ÿ™
The First Course Introductory Video is Live!!! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ
As the people who had voted, voted for "release a Course video every time I finish one", I can proudly announce that the first course video is just uploaded and available in the classroom!!!๐Ÿ”ฅ I decided to let the video be unlocked at level 3 to encourage new and future members to be engaging and be active in this community. Reaching level 3 is pretty easy. If you are still at level zero, then if you respond to a few of the posts below, then at some point you are at level 3. My experience also in other communities is that if you are engaging and active, level 3 will be unlocked in one or two days.๐Ÿ™‚ The course will be 12 lessons long - and will only be available for the this Skool community. The first Video is an introduction to pranayama with one small breathing exercise. Through this course, you will learn the basics, the essentials of pranayama, and very soon be able to use your breath as a tool to improve the quality of your life ๐Ÿซ Now there is a little disclaimer, because from now on I hope to upload one video a week, but as some of you have already might have been reading, my daughter is here this week, so I'm not sure if this week I will have time to record the second video. Now I have one question for you, the one who is going to watch the course. Please let me know whether you like it, whether it's understandable, or if you have some other feedback. Just let me know - I'm open for any feedback to improve future videos. And of course, when you have a question, just ask. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™ Breathe well. Namaste ๐Ÿ€

@Jose Montanez Thank you, brother. I know it comes from a good heart! ๐Ÿซถ
What made you decide investing your time into breathwork?๐Ÿซ
For me, it was pretty simple, as a few people might already know. I wanted to set up a retreat center, and for that retreat center I wanted to add some value, so I always had breath work in my mind as I was already meditating for years, not knowing that this relatively small decision was really going to change my life๐Ÿ™ So I'm curious: what motivated you to start doing breathwork? ๐Ÿ™‚

@Jose Montanez Nice, yeah, for me, the breathwork gave me something in life I did not know I was looking for. ๐Ÿ™ And I'm still unraveling these onion layers every day ๐Ÿ™‚
