AI Summit #2
Shocked by how fast January flew! It’s that time again—planning for the next Summit is officially underway. 🙌 Please chime in this thread by answering these two questions: 1. Should it be one or two days? 2. Do you want to be involved? If so, in what capacity? Feel free to DM if you’d like to chat more!

1. 2 shorter days, maybe different hours each day to accommodate different time zones? (Like what NN/g did) and one day being a weekend would be nice. 2. Yeah I’d love to involve and do another design challenge. But it also depends on my capacity so can’t say for sure
Claude skills vs projects
I just learned that Claude has a thing called "Skills" that can be found under settings. It helps you build a bot using behaviors, vs "Projects", which houses documents and context. The skills even creates a User Guide for you! I'm playing around with using them together to see what I can conjure up.

How to Install Figma MCP Server in Cursor
Follow up on the issues we had during today's Cursor event. I figured it out! It's actually super simple. 🔶 There are 2 types of Figma MCP servers: 1. Remote MCP server: available for ALL users. 2. Desktop MCP server: available ONLY on a Dev or Full seat for all paid plans AND requires you to install the Figma desktop app. The server will run locally. So firstly, you need to check which Figma plans & seats you are on. If you're not on a Dev or full seat, you cannot setup the Desktop MCP server. (and you're limited to "up to 6 tool calls per month" 🫠) 🔶 Setting up the server: - REMOTE server setup: https://developers.figma.com/docs/figma-mcp-server/remote-server-installation/#cursor. It only takes **4 clicks**!! - DESKTOP server setup: https://developers.figma.com/docs/figma-mcp-server/local-server-installation/#cursor. It's quite straightforward too. Once you're done, you should see in your "Cursor settings" that it's turned on and the indicator is green. I attached a screenshot of my Cursor. 🔶 Lessons learned: - Documentation is your friend 😀 It saves you from headaches. - Don't let Cursor to mess up your settings...DIY is faster.

Getting Started with Cursor workshop
Since many of you requested this topic, I decided to replace the Figma MCP topic with this for our January's "Coding for UX" series. Here's the link to the calendar item https://www.skool.com/ux-support-group-6932/calendar?eid=29165c65d8c64554839a51d2e890f358 As always, the workshop is free for Skool community members. See you there

Great! Recently I'm using Cursor to code my portfolio website, and I like it so far.
Does Craft Become a Key Differentiator in the era of AI Prototyping?
Curious about your opinions about this recent (controversial) talk "Don't Trust the Process" by Jenny Wen (Anthropic, formerly Figma). Her key advice for designers are: - Starting from solution first - Caring ruthlessly about the details - Operating on intuition - Skipping steps and making them up - Doing something just for the sake of making people smile
