He’s in complete control through years of hard work and practice, no tension and effortless speed and power. Game level effort 1, practice level effort 10. Tension is a speed killer and every kid who hasn’t put in the work will have some. The brain is too focused on the undertrained “action” whether that’s being short to the ball or on a good bath etc which takes away from the main focus of barrelling a ball off a pitcher trying to get you out. ‘The less effort, the faster and more powerful you will be.’ ‘The more relaxed the muscles are, the more energy can flow through the body.’ Couple Bruce Lee quotes. Happy new year
Embarrassing myself but I need help
My swing is atrocious and has so many problems and I’m wondering what I can do to better it because I’ve been putting in more work than ever but I’m getting worse

Hi Emory, I had a look and made you a quick video. Lane I hope that's ok. Good looking swing you're just extremely steep with your path meaning you have a tiny margin for error and it looks like your direction is to left field. Do some of Lane's direction drills, hit low line drives over the second baseman's head and like Suri says get as wide as your inseam is long which is usually the same length as your bat. Two tee drill to flatten out your path.
Introduction

Has to be “this isn’t a hit the ball hard drill”. I teach everyone bottom hand and two hand ISO initially and every kid wants to hit one handed homers.
