Keep in mind you have options, whatever best fits how you think. Verilog, VHDL, even system c (if that's still a thing).

Wondering if you ever heard of Potatosemi? They make "high speed" (GHz) 74 series logic. If possible I think your final version would be both cool and funny. Though it's kinda expensive for what it is. Edit: Kinda funny if you made your "final version" with these high speed logics.

@Dominic LeBoeuf So I looked around the last day or so and apparently they stopped selling directly to the consumer. Oh well. I thought it would be funny to call it a potato computer.
