🌿 Week 1, Day 1 – A Season of Returning
Hello Family, Today begins Lent. I didn’t plan a big launch. No structured rollout. No formal program. But I don’t want to let the season pass without intention. So for the next 40 days, I’m going to share simple reflections drawn from the ROOTED devotional, not as performance, but as practice. Today’s reflection that stayed with me: Lent is not about proving devotion. It’s about returning. Returning when life has subtly crowded your clarity. Returning when stress has become your baseline. Returning when you’ve been carrying more than you realized. So today, don’t “give something up” yet. Just notice. 🌿 What feels crowded? 🌿 What feels heavy? 🌿 Where do you feel slightly misaligned? That noticing is the beginning of realignment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Today’s Practice (5 Minutes) Sit quietly. Place your feet flat on the floor. Take three slow breaths. Ask: Where am I holding unnecessary tension? Don’t fix it. Just name it. That is enough for Day 1. We’re not doing more. We’re returning. If you’re walking this Lent journey, drop one word below that describes what this season feels like for you.

Letting Go of What No Longer Fits
This week’s practice is not about fixing yourself or making big decisions. It’s about creating a little space (internally and emotionally) by noticing what you’ve been carrying that no longer fits this season of your life. -Take 5–10 minutes. -Find a quiet moment. -There is no right way to do this. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ✨ Step 1: Ground Yourself (1–2 minutes) - Sit comfortably and place one hand on your chest or belly. - Take three slow breaths—in through your nose, out through your mouth. - As you breathe, gently say to yourself: “I don’t have to carry everything right now.” Let your body settle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ✨ Step 2: Name What You’re Carrying (Reflection) Without judgment, ask yourself: - What feels heavy for me right now? - What obligation, role, expectation, or habit feels tight or draining? - What am I holding onto out of guilt, fear, or habit—rather than alignment? Write down one thing that comes to mind. Not everything. Just one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ✨ Step 3: Discern, Not Decide You are not required to let it go today. Ask gently: - Does this still fit who I am becoming? - Is this nourishing me—or costing me peace? - What might it look like to loosen my grip, even slightly? This step is about awareness, not action. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ✨ Step 4: Practice Release (Micro-Release) Choose one of the following (or create your own): - Take a slow exhale and imagine placing this burden down. - Write the words “I release what no longer fits” and pause with them. - Say quietly: “I give myself permission to let this be lighter.” Even a small release counts. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✨ Step 5: Close with Compassion Place your hand back on your body and remind yourself:

It’s releasing others burdens and expectations placed on me by setting boundaries by incorporating no more often. I already turned down things that I knew my body couldn’t handle so that felt good 😊
Transformation rarely looks beautiful at the beginning
Where might something beautiful be forming in your life… even though you can’t fully see it yet?”

My career being restored in a unique way. I’m nervous and excited as my faith and law career intersects this season.
