How do y'all start a project?

Right now it's actually sound selection & melodies, i'll often have an idea and really don't know what to add, the problem is probably overthinking but yeah, did u also have that problem? and what do u think would help?

im working on an lp and dont wanna sample as much, how can i get achieve such music or what should i take in mind?

thats like a really big question but really just study the music that you are inspired by, watch tutorials, learn some music theory, make a lot of music
