This Week's Schedule ..bit all over the place 😅 (April 13-17)
Hope you had a good weekend! A couple of switch ups this week but we will still do our best to be live everyday. Monday Have coffee with us. We’re using some of the questions you asked last week and working through them live. Quick break after, then The Online Community Show will stream live with @Marianne Suarez Sabugo & @Kevin Suarez Sabugo for this week's podcast episode. Tuesday We will be talking about making quick one time offers, low ticket offers, low effort offers and why you would want to do that. Wednesday About Page Wednesday. @Eric Howell will not be able to make it but I’ll have @Artin Asghari joining me. We’ll be reviewing a few about pages from his clients and going through them together. Thursday This day will start after 12pm CST this week. Still counts as morning on the west coast right?? 🤔😅 We will be talking about treating yourself like a houseplant and why everyone needs to be doing this. Plus, it's also our Spill the Tea day. Friday Skool Weekly Recap. What happened this week, what we saw on Skool that stood out, and we want to hear how your week went. We’re aiming to be live at 9:30-9:40am CST this week. Monday may be a bit later, and Thursday will for sure be after 12pm CST. How do you handle schedule switch ups?

this looks like a fun week.
Courtesy Notice: This Community Will Be Going Public
EDIT: To honor the privacy of everyone, I'm cleaning the community up first. It takes a bit of time to do so, but I'm about 1/2 way there. I want to give everyone plenty of time and transparency around an upcoming change. Starting December 1, this group will shift to a public setting. This means anything posted inside will be viewable to anyone, so please take time now to remove or edit anything you would not want visible publicly. This is also your chance to post about your community while I still have posting open for members. After December 1, only commenting will be available. There may be a name change as well. Still undecided on that. If being part of a public space no longer feels aligned for you, this also gives you time to leave without pressure. No hard feelings whatsoever. This decision connects directly to how I recommend using Skool. A free public community supports SEO and AI discoverability, which helps the right people find practical guidance when they need it most. From there, they can choose to go deeper through paid or tiered communities. What you will continue to see here is focused, practical content that breaks down Skool features, community building strategies, announcements, and new updates in a way that supports you in making smarter decisions for your own community. The goal is for you to clearly understand what to do and why it matters for your growth and visibility. There will also be special things I do here for my paid members (yes, there is a paid community, but that is getting some changes as well.. which is why it's hidden from my profile til changes are made), such as featuring their communities under specific circumstances, while still keeping this space valuable and educational for everyone. Why now? Things shifted when I became a Skoolers moderator. My goal is to make learning more open and more accessible so more people can build stronger communities, avoid common missteps, and feel more confident navigating this platform.

Great plan 👌✨✨
Controversial Take: The Shortcut Mentality Is Keeping You Stuck
The way to make quick money. The way to get traffic fast. The way to rank higher asap. Everyone’s chasing the next way to avoid doing the work instead of building something that actually lasts. I’ve never once seen someone create a meaningful, happy, fulfilled life surrounded by people worth having in their circle by trying to game or cheat a system. Just like a fire starter, it burns fast and bright with nothing solid underneath to keep it going. In fact, a few who tried to game the system and made it to the Games in the past ended up becoming examples of what not to do and internet memes instead of role models. Shortcuts can look exciting in the moment, but they never build real stability. They don’t create the kind of foundation you can build a business, a brand, or a reputation on. The people who win long term aren’t searching for hacks. They’re refining what works. They’re taking in feedback and iterating. They’re showing up when no one’s watching. They’re stacking small, boring actions that eventually create something unshakable. Quick results fade. Real growth doesn’t need a hack. Where have you seen the biggest difference from slowing down and doing it with intention?

Fire. Baking bagels in a wildfire oven. If you go fast, you can make small mistakes and these compound and lead to chaos. My boss at the time, a 3rd generation bagel baker, told me: you have to go slow to go fast. And the man demanded speed, so it was a powerful lesson. In this online business game I think one of the most valuable places I slow down is with making comments or replies on posts. Many times silence is best. I don’t need to give my thoughts on every topic that pops up. There is work to do.
How long have you been on Skool?
Curious to see who’s been here the longest. 👀 How long have you been on Skool, and what’s one change or feature release that you thought was a great move? There’s been a lot of updates over time, so it’ll be fun to see which ones stood out most to each of you.

When Was Your Last Audit?
Doing the screen time challenge with Matthew’s community made me realize how much time I was spending without noticing. That awareness carried over into other areas of life. Then I watched a Hormozi video where he explained how outsourcing simple things like meals, laundry, and house cleaning can give you back entire weeks each year. I already have someone who comes to clean the house, has also been helping organize & downsize for mental clarity (I feel like your environment is a big deal) and I’ve been working with someone on a meal prep system for us. It got me thinking… what else could use an audit? I started with subscriptions. In one quick pass I canceled 6 of them that seemed "little" but they added up and were costing me $85.67 a month. Stuff I wasn't using or they weren't working like they should. That’s over $1,000 a year saved. Part of that savings is because I also went to cancel Audible, and of course they suckered me into staying with 50% off credits for three months. They always get me with that one. (Go see if they offer you a discount, if you want to keep them and get it for less.) Next, I’ve been looking at my wardrobe. The idea is to make it no-thinking, grab-and-go.. similar to Hormozi’s approach, but with enough variety so my kid doesn’t see me as “Mom always wears the same thing, boring.” These small audits add up. And the same applies to our communities... We can step back and ask: What are people really using? What do they find helpful? What feels like clutter? What do they want more of and what less of? It’s amazing what you uncover when you pause to run an audit. 👇 When was the last time you did one in your life or your community? What did you cut, adjust, or keep?

My community has definitely gotten cluttered. I definitely need an audit.
