Clay soil amendments
I have clay soil, northern centeral Missouri, is there a natural way to treat the soil, I know they have chemicals but, im trying to avoid.

What I’ve done on my property is pile up lots of mulch and mix with cheap garden compost from garden centre. Overtime, mulch breaks down & you got good growing soil. But it does take time. Luckily my neighbour is a tree logger, so I get all my mulch for free.

Hi All
I’ve been trying to build edible garden around my property for the past few years. Our property is on heavy clay soil, so I have been working hard at trying to improve the the top soil for the past few years. Lots of mulch and garden organics

@Dennis Wichter I basically build large compost pile across the garden and then add mulch on top.

@John Craig it’s actually on my list, I will definitely look into the in ground. That sounds interesting
