Sundays are the perfect time to slow down, reflect, and prepare for the week ahead. - What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in the coming week? - How can you nurture yourself today to start the week feeling refreshed and recharged? Feel free to share your thoughts or use these prompts as a quiet moment of reflection for yourself. Wishing you a peaceful and restful Sunday! 💛

My family and I reassessed how we managed time. There was a point of conflict in there but we stood together to see it's way through - even determining and setting a solution then and there. So definitely 100% on the "reflection and preparation" points haha - but we replaced slowing down with improved awareness.

@Tisha Castillo great all is in order and you've beaten Black Friday with days to spare! I'm taking your accomplishment to motivate me to put some posts with specific engagement this week. And cheers to putting your issue aside and coming back to deal with it. With the good stuff you're doing, I could see it gets put aside for longer. Good to hear your story!

@Alysha Webb the sun will be there! haha it's only recently that my walks were before sunrise because of my schedule. No longer am I walking next to cars with their brights on. And I like your strategy on adding a midday walk, too - letting the sun know you're there :)
A Thanksgiving Message from the Heart
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I think it’s important to recognize that the holidays aren’t bright and shiny for everyone. For many, this time of year stirs up mixed emotions—reflection on past family interactions, the pain of strained relationships, or grief for how things used to be. This is something deeply personal to me. Having lost both my mom and dad and more recently experiencing estrangement from my sister and the rest of my family, I’ve come to know the holidays as a time of both hurt and healing. While I feel the loss deeply, I’ve also learned to create space for gratitude in my way. If you feel a similar way—carrying the weight of mixed emotions during the holidays—I want you to know that you are not alone. It’s okay to feel sadness, nostalgia, or even a sense of longing alongside moments of gratitude and joy. These emotions can coexist, and they don’t diminish the value of your experience or the beauty of this season. This is a reminder to take care of yourself, especially this time of year. Spend your energy and your days with people who uplift and support you. If that means celebrating with a smaller group, creating new traditions, or even spending the holiday solo, that’s okay. What matters most is honoring what you need to protect your peace and mental health. Remember, the holidays aren’t about perfection or fulfilling other people's expectations. They’re about connecting with others, yourself, or your memories. To anyone who might feel like they’re carrying a little extra heaviness this holiday season, I want to encourage you: You are seen, valued, and enough. Take this time to take good care of yourself in whatever way feels right, and know there’s a community here ready to support and uplift you, no matter what. Wishing you peace, love, and moments of tranquility this Thanksgiving. xoxo Sue

@Sue Shier Your message reminds me that "love" is a verb, and "thanks" is something you give - both of which we can do whether holiday or not. Love and thanks to everyone here!
In the Spirit of Giving
As I scroll through countless Black Friday sales being advertised, I started thinking about how I could give back in a meaningful way during this holiday season. Instead of a sale or promotion, I’d love your help in growing our community and spreading the mission of Go Simple—a sanctuary for those who need a break, a little encouragement, or simply a safe place to recharge. ✨ Here’s how you can help: Think of one person—a friend, co-worker, or client—who would resonate with the purpose of this community. Someone who might benefit from daily encouragement, advice, or just a judgment-free space to show up as they are. Simply send them this link: https://www.skool.com/gosimple along with a personal note about why you think they’d love being part of this space. This community is FREE and will remain so for the foreseeable future. By inviting someone, you’re giving them the gift of connection and support—something far more valuable than any Black Friday deal. Together, we can expand this little sanctuary and make it a haven for even more people seeking rest, encouragement, and meaningful community. Thank you for being part of this journey. I appreciate each of you and can’t wait to see how this space continues to grow. 💛

@Sue Shier your comment about offering a place to recharge resonates. We have plans for the holiday after Thanksgiving so we can have some family and deliberate rest rather than either feeling obligated or avoiding all the Black Friday activities and attention happening.
3 Things
What are your three 'to do's' today? Here's mine: 1. Prepare for meeting with new client tomorrow (work) 2. Download Suze Orman's Life Documents for review (personal) 3. Finish newsletter for November (work) I am diligent about not overscheduling myself for several reasons: 1. I don't like to feel rushed or stressed 2. I want to feel accomplished at the end of the day 3. I need to ensure I leave enough time in my day for the unexpected I usually have 2 work tasks and one personal task. Would love to hear your list and your thoughts on this.

@Sue Shier yes, and I never found success with green screen-type backgrounds probably because there would be holes through my curly hair haha. And I don't want to need a buzzcut for every video!

@Sue Shier ha and I forgot to add that trying to white balance my camera has made my room look like the snow palace from Narnia at times.
