The Art of Tumbao Ep. 09 โ€“ Cuba Dance Retreat ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡บ | Why Every Salsa Dancer Should Go To Cuba
After watching the video, I agree that the Cuban community mostly survives on financial donations. I can also add that even communities (in different countries) that love the Arts survive on financial donations. In my country, there is an Afro-Latin community where some members occasionally sponsor tickets for people to attend In the video, I noticed she repeated the phrase multiple times: "Many of these Cubans like interacting with foreigners a lot!!!" I asked myself why she keeps mentioning that. Then, in the last 10 minutes of the video, she says, "Foreigners come to Cuba to learn the culture, not for relationships." That's when I understood her point In my country, there have been cases where an afrolatin instructor or dancer tries to date someone (working class or financially stable person) who likes going to their events, but such relationships don't work in the long run But wonderful podcast. I have learnt something regarding the Cuban culture, plus feedback from her https://youtu.be/YGB6ZZqToXA?si=VaeoRVLQniwvTHE7

Unlocking Authentic Movement in Social Dance
After watching The Art of Tumbao Ep. 4 โ€“The Afro-Latin Gait: Unlocking Authentic Movement in Social Dance, one of my instructors (who taught me Kizomba) noticed that I am not walking Kizomba elegantly. He advised me to learn how to moonwalk, and that solved a lot of things. After learning moonwalk from my Kizomba instructor, it helped me mambo Salsa on 1 better and improved my Kizomba elegantly. Moonwalk helps a dancer learn how to shift their weight elegantly as they walk or dance on the floor I don't know how to dance Salsa on 2, but atleast I am seeing the fundamentals of learning Salsa on 2 from the video. During my days of learning Salsa on 1 (2009-2014), in addition, we were taught Salsa shines on 1 What I see nowadays on social media is Salsa Shines, which I didn't understand because it wasn't done on 1. But after watching your video, I can see that those Instagram and TikTok videos that pop into my phone screen are Salsa Shines done on 2. Your video has helped a lot

The Etiquette of Yes & No in the Dance Scene
After watching this, The Art of Tumbao Ep. 2 โ€“ The Etiquette of Yes & No: The Subtle Ritual of Cabeceo in Social Dance, I agree with Musa and say that in this day and age, we need to learn the art of approaching someone before asking for a dance. Keep in mind that rejections don't favour the experienced or inexperienced dancers. Every dancer gets rejected atleast once in their lifetime
