One of my favorite Cake songs is called Tougher Than It Is. One of the verses in it is: “Well, the more you try to shave the cat The more the thing will bite and scratch It’s best, I think, to leave it’s fur and to listen to it’s silky purr” Some people like to make life a little tougher than it is. Look for ways in which you can replace struggle with ease today. Don’t shave the cat.

I have been hesitating on starting my first course for a bit now. One of the communities I am in offered a deal for their course creating program, so I got it last night. I went to start the first module today and I followed the direction to introduce myself and I put a brief description in about what the course would be about. It’s going to be based on my book and I put the title, Mind Over Magick, in the description. Within 10 minutes the guy messaged me that he had kicked me out of the program and refunded me. It was several paragraphs long and included the phrase “making sure I’m working closely with people where there’s a strong alignment in what’s being built”. Now, I could be wrong, but my money is on that being code for “I don’t work with Godless heathens”. I politely email him back to enquire why he didn’t think it was a good fit, but that was hours ago and apparently his lightning fast reactions escape him now. How do I feel about it? I was shocked at first, but now I think I dodged a HUGE bullet. I saved some money and don’t have to work with someone judgy and close minded. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. You don’t want everybody to like you. Let the trash take itself out.
