Help!
Hello all :) happy Thursday! I started my starter yesterday and nothing happened. I mean nothing. Do I trash it and start fresh or feed? Help!

@Sandra Brenes My starter doubled yesterday in the 79 degree room and was bubbly and stretchy so I'd say it was a win!

@Sandra Brenes Yes this was the rehydrated starter. So I need to feed again before using to make a loaf?

Hello all :) complete newbie! I have wanted to learn how to bake sourdough goodies for a while but I don't want it to feel like a chore. Excited to see how this all unfolds :) I am curious on the supplies as of course there are a million things on Amazon to purchase. Can I start with a simple quart mason jar? Do I need a scale?

@Sandra Brenes Thanks so much! I am watching the videos but I'll be doing my starter this weekend. I did obtain a scale so I'm good to go!

Wow! 400 Members! That is so awesome! So cool! I am thrilled that you are here learning sourdough & bread making with me! Thank you for being here! Every week that goes by, I am more convinced that this is where I need to be...I live and breathe the process. Even my advice to my kids is packed full of metaphors and examples around the bread making process...I am sure they are so annoyed "Mama talking about Sourdough...again!" ...but it is so valid. Have you discovered that the more we learn, the more we realize how much we still have to learn...and I am here for it! I had no idea the depth of this topic...and every day is an adventure. Thanks for being here! For fun, share something about the bread making process that surprised you?
