Life
The Beginning of My Story By Wendy Marie Bridget Howe Besherse My name is Wendy Marie Bridget Howe Besherse, and this is the story of my life—a journey filled with faith, family, challenges, blessings, and determination. I grew up with a curious mind and a love of learning. Even as a young girl, I was fascinated by history, people, and the stories that shaped the world around me. Those interests would stay with me throughout my life and eventually become part of who I am. As the years passed, I discovered that life is rarely a straight path. There were victories and disappointments, moments of joy and moments of heartbreak. Through it all, I learned that faith in God could carry me through even the hardest seasons. Family became the center of my world. I embraced the role of wife, mother, and homeschool educator. Teaching my children at home was not always easy, but it allowed me to be present for the everyday moments that matter most. Each lesson taught, each challenge overcome, and each milestone reached became part of our family's story. Living in Washington State, I built a life centered around home, faith, and service. Along the way, my faithful service dog, Snowy, became an important companion. Snowy was more than a dog—he was a source of comfort, support, and encouragement during difficult days. I am also a creator and storyteller. Through projects such as Purple Sage Hill Ranch & Home School, Home First Income, and Just Wendy's Sports Corner, I found ways to share my passions with others. Whether talking about homeschooling, family life, budgeting, history, or sports, I discovered that every person has a story worth telling. One of the greatest lessons of my life came through hardship. Health challenges reminded me that every day is a gift. After surviving a life-threatening cardiac event and receiving an implanted defibrillator, I gained a deeper appreciation for faith, family, and the preciousness of life itself. The experience changed me forever and strengthened my desire to help and encourage others.

Chapter 2: Learning Who I Was By Wendy Marie Bridget Howe Besherse Growing up, I often saw the world a little differently than other people. I paid attention to details, listened closely to conversations, and watched how people treated one another. Even as a young girl, I was trying to understand why people acted the way they did. That curiosity would stay with me throughout my life. School became a place where I could explore ideas and learn about the world beyond my own small corner of it. History especially fascinated me. I loved discovering how people lived in different times, how nations rose and fell, and how ordinary people could leave behind extraordinary legacies. The stories of perseverance inspired me deeply. But life was not always simple. Like many families, ours faced struggles behind closed doors that others did not always see. There were moments when I felt misunderstood, overlooked, or uncertain about where I truly belonged. Those experiences shaped me more than I realized at the time. As I grew older, I learned that strength is not always loud. Sometimes strength is simply continuing forward when you are exhausted. Sometimes it is choosing kindness after being hurt. Sometimes it is getting up each morning and doing what needs to be done, even when life feels heavy. Faith slowly became an anchor in my life. I began to understand that God does not promise an easy road, but He does promise to walk beside us through it. During difficult seasons, prayer became a place where I could lay down my fears, frustrations, and heartbreak. Over time, I discovered talents and passions that gave me purpose. I loved writing, storytelling, researching history, and helping others learn. I found joy in creating things with meaning—whether through homeschooling materials, journals, videos, or conversations that encouraged people to keep going. I also discovered something else about myself: I cared deeply about people who felt unseen. Maybe it was because I understood that feeling myself. I wanted others to know they mattered, even when life tried to convince them otherwise.
