The Entrepreneur Village (Manifesto)
If we are going to be in community, it is important for us all to understand what the community stands for, so I wrote a manifesto about it. I have always loved creating community. My first business, right out of college was a game store, which was wildly successful except for never making any money. The community created there was incredible. When I discovered the Skool platform, I saw the opportunity to create a new kind of community. The first thing I did was to personally invite key people who I knew would set the right culture and tone, but as we approach one month in and pass 100 members, I know it is important to make clear what this community is an is not. So I decided to create a set of Entrepreneur Villager Values. But then my friend Mitch Russo suggested I take it a step further: Write an entire Manifesto! Who are we? Who are we not? What do we stand for? What do we stand against? Why do we stand together. And so, I would like to share with you the early draft of The Entrepreneur Village Manifesto. I would love your feedback, either in the comments on this post, or by commenting on the document directly. And the Values? They are These: 💡 Honesty - A Villager seeks to always be honest and truthful, and never uses deceit or deception to make sales. 🦁 Courage – A Villager seeks to stand up for values, take entrepreneurial risks, and be a light in the world that inspires others. 🤩 Service - A Villager seeks to serve people and finds income as a side effect of serving, rather than seeking money with service as a side effect. 🤝Community - A Villager seeks to help their fellow Villagers with their advice, network, and support. 👀 Watchfulness - A Villager seeks to protect their fellow Villagers, and all people, from Villains by warning them off and recommending providers with Villager Values
