Unmotivated? Here's a reminder to get you back on track......
What you accomplish TODAY is a reflection of what you can achieve in the future, in sha Allah. But when we think too far into the future, the tasks feel too big, the end feels too far, it’s easy to get hopeless. So, don’t always think TOO far ahead, think about what you can do TODAY. What is the ONE TASK you can get done today, that will help you reach your goals 3 month, 6 months, 12 months for now? If that task is truly aligned with your goals, then all you need to focus on is today. This reminds me of a statement of one of the salaf, al-Hasan al-Basri rahimahullah: "The life of this world is made up of three days: yesterday has gone with all that was done; tomorrow, you may never reach; but today is for you so do what you should do today." SO, HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO GET YOU BACK ON TRACK: 1. Have a time-bound GOAL set (example: Land a paying freelance copywriting client in 90 days) 2. Ask yourself: What task can I do TODAY to be there in 90 days? (example: Write 3 pieces of email copy for a dream client) 3. Do that task TODAY 4. Do the same thing tomorrow in sha Allah 5. Always ask yourself: Are my tasks aligned with my goal? The idea to break down big goals into bit-size chunk, so they feel more attainable and realistic. This is a reminder first and foremost for myself, hope it helps you too. Stay focused, Warsame

Trying to get more focused on writing more long-form copy in sha Allah, WHILE also sharing benefits. Let me know if it was beneficial, and what tweaks I can implement to make it better. JazakumAllahu khayran
Alhamdulillah – Landed My First Freelance Client!
Assalaamu Alaikum everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to share some good news that I hope will motivate others, Inshallah. A little background about me: I was working as a Senior UX/UI Designer for a large corporate company, but earlier this year I was unexpectedly made redundant. As tough as that moment was, I can now say Alhamdulillah, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After months of applying for jobs with no success, I came across this freelance course. I set myself a strict deadline to complete the videos and projects. Honestly, that was the easy part. (So if you’re at that stage, my advice is: just get through it as quickly as you can.) The real challenge came afterwards: finding clients. I applied for jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed, sent personalised messages to people looking for UX/UI or web designers, and joined several Slack and Discord communities dedicated to Muslims in tech. Along the way, I faced countless rejections, ignored applications, and calls that went nowhere. But Alhamdulillah, after months of persistence, I’ve just secured my very first freelance client for a short-term project! If you’re at a stage where you feel like giving up, please know I was in the exact same place. Don’t stop. Keep making dua, believe in your skills, and keep the reason why you chose this path at the forefront of your mind. That intention makes it so much easier to push through rejection after rejection. Think outside the box, opportunities aren’t only on LinkedIn or Indeed. Platforms like Slack and Discord can also connect you with amazing clients. Even beyond that, be open to creative ways of putting yourself out there, you never know where the next opportunity might come from. Another thing that helped me was shifting my focus. Instead of counting how many applications I sent or rejections I received, I just kept going without worrying about the numbers. Eventually, I even forgot about some of the places I had applied to months later, out of nowhere, potential clients started reaching out to me. Most of those didn’t lead anywhere, but Alhamdulillah, one did and that’s how I landed my first client.

Im back! Answering your questions this sunday!
Hey everyone! Sorry. I've been back. I've been jet-lagged. I just got back from the States. The Next Freelance class is all about building a perfect landing page using AI and how to land landing page clients using a technique called speccing. You'll want to stay tuned for this one. It's on the calendar for Sunday at 3pm London time. Bring all your questions about our real projects, and I'll help you build landing pages very easily. Also, use this new technique that our students have been using to land clients in the last few of weeks.
