How does music affect/helps your daily life and mental health?
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing great. So today's topic of mine is - "Is music really effective or it affects your mental state" Give your opinions below, I'll share my own experience too Basically I listen too much of music, honestly I don't limit myself by a specific genre, It depends on my mood, Music was helpful in my life at down times, to uplift and at many more moments. But as recently, I've started my university and immersed myself even more in music, I've noticed something. I tend to listen to music in almost all of my daily moments—like on the way to classes, while walking through the cafeteria, etc. Through my own experience and some research, I've come to realize that we all have these silent gaps in our day-to-day lives. For example, when I walk to my room after class or work, there’s this quiet moment. It’s a time where I would normally just have my thoughts, but I tend to fill this gap by listening to music. Due to this I literally started to go out with my headsets on even to small distances, this basically affected my mental health and increased my daydreaming(I'm still experimenting about this, I'm not sure if music and daydreaming is completely connected together) So I started to reduce my music listening habits, and started to give my mind some gap in-between days, due to this I can feel my mental health is getting better! So this was my experience, thanks for reading :) I'm curious to hear yours???

Yeah, that’s understandable. From what I’ve seen, listening to music on external speakers instead of headphones or AirPods really makes a difference on mental state, give it a try, it was a dramatic change for me.

A little about me
Hello I’m new here but excited to be apart of the community. My favorite color is pink, purple, red, and I love sky blue. Or baby blue. I put Jesus Christ before everything I wouldn’t be where I am without him. My family is my everything. So I’m very family-oriented p.s future wise can’t wait to have one of my own. Yeah that’s me.

Welcome!
Intro
Yo what’s up guys I’m Josh and I’m relatively new to the community. My whole life I’ve always been pretty introverted and didn’t have many friends. Luckily I’ve gotten better through practice and experience and have gotten more comfortable socializing and have a few close friends, but I want to keep pushing myself and grow more confident, as I often overthink things in social interactions, and don’t feel that confident socializing, sometimes even with people I know. Looking to be able to grow with this amazing community!
