I have been playing piano for a few years but actually still feel like I am intermediate or maybe even a beginner. One valuable lesson I have learned though about the right teacher is this: They make you feel relaxed first. You cannot learn much when you are not relaxed and your body is in stress. Everything you start - practicing your piano, writing a song, painting your new piece. Always relax first and then start. This is a sign of a great teacher.
