Last Monday was the first day for Power BI Training. It was about the introduction and what we understand as Power BI. I learnt about how to download Power BI desktop on the computer system, different functions of the tabs/menus, 3 different views of Power BI (report view, table view & model view).

Last week Monday, we discussed the exam subjects. Additionally, Power BI reporting was taught to us. That was enlightening.

Last Thursday, I learnt about Data Analysis Expression {DAX), that is, a collection of functions, operators, and constants that can be used in a formula, or expression, to calculate and return one or more values. Stated more simply, creation of new information from data already in my model. I learnt about creating calculated columns, measures and custom tables.

Last Wednesday, I learnt the following in the Power BI Class: - Getting data from different sources. - Splitting columns - Using first row as header - Replacing values - Different types of data files

I learnt about types of data source, types of files in datasets and different functions functions ( Delete. Rename, Replace values, Merge, Append among others) in Power BI.
