Congratulations 🎉
Account numbers
Hey just a question, I know, this might be a dumb question but on our credit reports, with TransUnion, Equifax and experian. Why are the account numbers? Sometimes different from each other. One might have less digits in it, then the other 1. Is it supposed to be that way or or do I dispute it? I'm kinda confused. Thank you

Great question — and definitely not a dumb one! It’s actually normal for account numbers to look different across TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. The bureaus often mask, shorten, or partially scramble the account numbers for privacy and security. So you might see missing digits, X’s, or slightly different formats. As long as the lender name, balance, dates, and status match across all three, you’re good — no dispute needed. You’d only dispute it if the account itself is not yours, or if the information being reported is inaccurate, not just because the number looks different. You’re doing great by paying attention to the details!
