How to Proceed with Unethical Buyer
Question... I had a show and messed up the shipping for a first-time customer. I believe it was isolated mistake to just two items that possibly got swapped during bagging. It was just a $5 item. I deeply apologized to her for the mistake and told her to put in a request for refund. There was no way for me to get it back. She bought 4 items (she did get 4 items one which was wrong and a free gift that I give all my customers). The other customer who may have gotten her item is a reseller who bought 20+ items and probably thought nothing of it (her purchase was also $5). But again, I am not certain if she was the one who actually got it out of the 31 shipments I had for that show. I offered if she were to attend my show again, that I would give her a complimentary piece of jewelry for my mistake and to please continue for the request for refund for the $5 item. She then went on a rant that I probably did because I did not get what I wanted for the item and did send it, etc. I told her that I was offended by her accusation and that was certainly not the case, that in 7000 items I have only messed up twice like this and my reviews speak for themselves. I looked and saw that she put in a refund request but not for the $5 item she was missing but for the most expensive item she bought which was a $26 item claiming it was missing from shipment (other 3 were $5 items) and it seemed to go through. Obviously, there are email communications about this incident, and I am more upset that she lied to WhatNot and she got away with it. Do I say something to her that I know what she did calling her out, let it go or should I report it to WhatNot? I have blocked her. UGH

@Joani Reisen sorry it happened to you also. All I can do is shake my head over $3.00 item. Thank you, my daughter did put in ticket to report.

Allergies to handling Jewelry?
Just curious if anyone has endured allergy flare on their skin from handling jewelry? I have been handling more jewelry this past year (more than normal) since I started having shows, etc. Experiencing some skin breakouts (even on my feet) which I hear can be normal for nickel or metal allergies from handling jewelry. If so, do you find it only happens on your hands or does it affect other areas of the body and what do you use to help with contact of the metals (gloves/barrier creams). Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Vicki

@Brett Jones thank you for the information. I too have been having some headaches more recently (never thought it could be related). I do see a dermatologist soon and will hopefully find out for sure, but I do suspect this could be the culprit. Thanks again :)
