Just a little encouragement for anyone still building their store and wondering if all the work is worth it… Last night I was packing for a long-haul flight when an order came through for one of my regular prints. The artwork was already with Print Shrimp, so I imported the order, paid through my wallet and carried on packing. Order 1. A couple of hours’ sleep later, driving to the airport when another order came in. This time it was a brand-new design that I hadn’t uploaded the artwork to PS yet. Order 2. I checked in my bags, found a quiet corner at the airport, resized the artwork on my phone, uploaded it to Print Shrimp and got the order sorted before boarding my flight. When I landed after the first leg, I discovered I’d sold a digital download while I was in the air. Even better, nothing to do! Order 3. Then another customer bought three prints. Two were already uploaded, but the 3rd was a new design so found a quiet corner in the lounge -and resized the missing artwork on my phone, uploaded it and got the order into production before catching my next flight.Order 4,5 and 6 ! And that’s when it really struck me. 6 Orders and my little business travelled with me. No stockroom, no packing boxes and no trips to the post office. Just my phone, my artwork and Print Shrimp taking care of the printing, packing and shipping. There is a HUGE amount of work involved in building your store and getting everything set up, and there have definitely been moments when I’ve wondered what on earth I’m doing! But this is the payoff. While I was packing, driving, sleeping and flying across the world, my shop just kept going. So for anyone still knee-deep in creating, resizing, uploading and wondering whether all those hours are worth it - just keep going. You’re not just building a shop. You’re building yourself a little bit of freedom. ❤️

I heard that lovely Cha-Ching noise earlier, I had a look, and the customer has purchased 4 posters (my 15% off 3 prints worked). She bought 4 designs within the same style series, so obviously for a gallery wall. It has made my day. I had a personal target in mind, to hit before the end of this month, and now I've exceeded it. Maybe I can squeeze in one more sale before end of month tomorrow! 🤔🤪😅 I hope you're all having a brilliant day too!

Hey guys, I have noticed a lot people making a classic mistake recently of letting their order go past it's dispatch date on Etsy recently. I believe some people are under the misconception that you can only mark an order as complete on Etsy with tracking, or get punished for completing without tracking. This is not the case! So, I asked our community legend @Mihai Volintiriu to put together a little document explaining his process for dispatching orders. As always, he went completely above and beyond. Mihai, as you can see below, has been a Star Seller basically since starting to sell on Etsy. And, as you can see explained in the guide, this has been with marking an order as complete without tracking, and then letting it be added in afterwards. Etsy does not punish you for this! The only thing they do punish, is not marking an order as complete when it was due to be dispatched. We see a lot of people complaining their order is overdue on Etsy as they haven't had their tracking yet. The only way this becomes a problem is if you let it be overdue! Mihai recommends sending the order to PrintShrimp, and then marking the order as complete on Etsy the next day. I personally mark them as complete as I send them over to PrintShrimp largely out of laziness. But it is whatever works for you - main point is to not let them become overdue for dispatch! This is when you will get punished :D Hope this helps clears this up. Also, we would recommend setting your dispatch time to 1-3 days and also ensuring you have set your dispatch/working days to not include the weekends. Doing these will ensure accurate delivery expectations with your customers, and help you get towards Star Seller!

Hi all. I've recently revamped my Etsy store (I've dabbled with POD before over the past two years with targeted listings but nothing substantial) so it's now fully focussed on travel prints. I've used the bulk listing tool to get 55 prints listed. My question is, how many views should I be getting? I only listed 7 days ago, so I appreciate it's not been long at all, but previously, when uploading one at a time, I've noticed a spike in views within the first day or two. It's been a week and with 55 listings I've had less than 10 views. Is there something obvious that I've missed? Or is this just how it works uploading a saturated niche rather than targeted listings? I'm just about to upload the next 50 so any advice would be grately appreciated! Thanks.
