💙 Why did you start your business?
Long before the first sale... Before the website... Before the product... There was a reason. Maybe you wanted more time with your family. Maybe you were ready to leave a job that no longer fit. Maybe you wanted the freedom to travel, create, or choose how you spend your days. Maybe you wanted to prove to yourself that you could build something of your own. Maybe you wanted to make a difference. Maybe you wanted financial freedom. Or maybe you simply wanted a life that felt more like you. When business gets hard, it's rarely our strategy that keeps us going. It's our reason. I'd love to hear yours. Why did you decide to start your business? Share your story in the comments. You never know who needs to hear it today, or who might realize they're not alone on the journey. 💛

It was quite the journey for me to find my voice and to feel safe speaking up. That's why I became a professional speaker and started my speaking and coaching business, because I wanted to help people do the same who never thought that their voice was important or were too scared to speak up.

@Sybil Hall You are the best. Here is my community - https://www.skool.com/resilientspeakers - My community is for entrepreneurs. - I help them speak on stages and on camera. The promise I make is to help entrepreneurs find their first speaking gig. - My community is special because we all work on challenges together and get those reps in for speaking instead of dumping information on people. We support each other while we find our own path and voice in speaking. And a community that I love being a part of - https://www.skool.com/jet-emotions-2495/about?ref=0767e75011e94ce193ba3f91e1f2099e This community has a lot of warm people who genuinely want to see you succeed, and that's why I am a part of it.

My community is called Resilient Speakers. Thank you, @Sybil Hall, for the opportunity to share my community here. My community is for entrepreneurs to work on their speaking skills and get paid for it. The stages can be in person and/or virtual. A lot of us are working on getting clear on our message and getting it out there. The calls that I have in the community are mainly around speaking skills and then how to build a speaking business. Skool Owners: Pop-Up Calls Work
One thing I’ve noticed over and over: Pop-up calls work. Not because they’re perfectly planned. Not because hundreds of people attend. Because they build: ✅ Engagement ✅ Community ✅ Relationships with you as the owner ✅ Transparency ✅ Trust that you’re listening ✅ Invitations for members to participate You don’t need a huge turnout. You don’t need a fancy presentation. You don’t even need to find a time that works for everyone. You only need it to work for one person. Put a custom call on the calendar. Invite someone publicly. Show up. Have the conversation. Others will often join live or watch the replay later. Some of my best community conversations have started because one member needed help, asked a question, or wanted accountability. The call was for them. Everyone else benefited too. Small, personal, and responsive often beats big, polished, and generic.

Interesting. What do you mean by custom calls? What do they look like?
