Day 0, Introduction
Just an old man finding I am falling behind in a lot of categories in life. I am hoping learning to use AI in a productive way helps me catch up and reduce the gaps or at best keeps me somewhat even with the pace of progress.

welcome to the community John! good to have you here man, taking the step to dive in is huge.
Day 3 — Choosing where my first agent can help most 🎯
Today I scored six activities based on how much time they take and the value of improving them. The result gave me a clear starting point: a Job Search & Shortlisting Agent. Looking for a junior Windows System Administrator or Windows System Administrator role in East Flanders, Belgium, involves checking several websites, comparing requirements, and deciding which vacancies are worth pursuing. That activity ranked highest in my matrix: - Job searching and shortlisting: 25 - Email review and spam filtering: 16 - Candlestick pattern analysis: 15 My first agent will bring relevant vacancies together in one place, remove duplicates, and explain why each role might suit me. I’ll still decide which jobs to apply for. For me, success means spending less time searching across websites and having a useful shortlist with links, locations, and requirements to work through. I also set a clear personal boundary: checking outstanding payments and making those payments will stay with me. Today’s matrix is saved in agent-priority-matrix.md, alongside my context seed from Day 2. I now have a specific first project to develop—one that could save me time and support my search for a new job.

what most people miss when setting up job parsing agents is structural change on target sites and anti-bot rate limits. if you're relying purely on raw page scraping without a dedicated rendering fallback or structured schema extraction, minor html updates will silently break the filtering pipeline and drop solid vacancies. using a clean schema-first parser with a fallback queue keeps the shortlisting super reliable.
Day 1 done. Dashboard is live.
Changed font, colours, added motivation quote with illustration, days left timer for two deadlines and separated the news feed by topic

4 Connectors That Turn Claude Into Your Team
Most people use Claude like a chat window. This 19-page guide wires it into four tools and one skill, so it makes your product visuals, finds real leads, writes emails that sound like you, remembers your data, and pushes it into 9,000+ apps. Every step, price and prompt was checked against the vendors' own docs in September 2026.

what most people miss when wiring claude into external apps is robust error recovery and token usage tracking across all those webhooks. without an explicit failure boundary or state logging, a single rate-limit error down the chain can quietly drop the whole context before pushing to the target app. solid breakdown man.
