Training Hard vs. Training Long — Where Are You Now?
At some point, every grappler reaches a crossroads. Early on, progress looks like rounds, intensity, and proving something. Later, it starts to look like control, recovery, and choosing when to push. If you’ve been training long enough, you’ve probably felt the shift: - Injuries take longer to heal - Ego costs more than it used to - Smart positions matter more than winning scrambles - Longevity becomes the real goal This Guild exists for grapplers who want to train well into their later years, not burn out early. 👉 Where are you in that transition? - What changed in how you train? - What do you protect now that you didn’t before? - What advice would you give your younger self? Drop your experience below. This is how we learn from each other.

@Timothy Schreiber shoulder injuries are difficult to recover from. When I’m injured, I assess my range of motion and build a training regiment around those limitations so that I can continue to train safely and not further injure myself. Some times the learning experience through adaptations can be informative and help evolve your game!

@Timothy Schreiber arthritis is a different beast to battle. What can be a route to try is exploring options through dietary choices that may help inflammation around the joints.
