Where in your life have you been working against your own nature, without even knowing it? I ask this question a lot in my practice. And the answers almost always surprise people.. not because they did not know the answer somewhere, but because they had never been asked so directly. For some women, it shows up in their morning routine. Many of us have one that belongs to someone else's constitution entirely. For others, it is the career path that made sense on paper but never quite fit. For others, still, it is the way they rest, or do not rest, or the seasons of the year that consistently derail them. Ayurveda has a name for this drift. It is called Vikriti — the distance between who you were born to be and how you are currently living. The Cultivating You Series this August is built around closing that distance. I would love to hear from you in the comments. Where do you feel that friction most? You do not have to have the full answer. Just notice where the question lands.
