I think a music engineer should be first; it's essential that the sound be on point. The engineer is one of the most important members of your team. I went through so many engineers until I found one who could mix and master my sound to the way I liked. Shoutout to mine. Finding an engineer is crucial. I pay about $300 to $350 per song for my engineer to mix and master my track, and I also receive the session files (A cappella, TV Track, and Instrumental). Once you have the music, you can then hire a graphic designer for the artwork. I think the Social Media Specialist should be last.

@Stephen Johnson A master of all is a master of none. My advice is to anaylze what you're good at and recruit people in the things you lack in. Trying to do it all will have a mean learning curve and delay your chance of making a career in music.

I prefer a partnership with a major label because I do R&B and there aren't any independent artist, who haven't signed to a major that made it to superstar status without one.
