Taking the plunge!
After today's call, where Substack came up, I was somehow filled with the courage and energy to put out my first post today 🙌🏼 I have been deliberating about Substack for over a year and a half... and sitting on this particular post for over a month... Today was the day. It feels enormously relieving to have taken an imperfect visibility action: not waiting to set my membership levels or tweak this or that. Just ripping off the bandaid and writing what flowed out of my fingers some weeks back, without any strategy or plan. Curious where it will lead... Anyone else on Substack? https://vaishnavibrassey.substack.com/p/if-trees-could-talk-what-would-they

7 Dead Giveaways of AI Writing
ooh this is quite fun - and useful. And I'm now experienced enough with Chat GPT to laugh in recognition, LOL https://medium.com/@jess_33150/7-dead-giveaways-of-ai-writing-df5145f13498
Pinching myself
I can’t quite believe I’m actually writing a freaking book! Having lots of flashes of elation mixed with a hefty dose of pure fear at the thought of putting my creation out into the world one day. …All absolutely necessary, to be expected and as it should be I know! I sure am glad to not be doing it alone though 😊

Thanks for sharing! I’ve had a few weeks of low energy / not feeling super well and hadn’t realised my motivation had petered out a bit. reading your message energises and re-enthuses me!
Questions
Not sure if this is a good way to use this community but I was about to ask in Telegram out of habit and then thought maybe useful to gather all Qs here? Or maybe there could be a category for Qs which would then create a kind of FAQ section?

QUESTION: Whether to follow the 30-day SheROSE timeline document or WRITE THE GODDAMN BOOK! 🙃 I was feeling extremely committed to fleshing out my timeline and writing for its therapeutic benefits. I've done Days 1-3 of the 30 questions (as each one has taken me more than a day) and written a number of stories before that also. The more I feed into Mimi, the more she gives me a clarity on an arc for this book. I'm amazed to feel I could just go ahead and write it now if I wanted to! Something in me still wants to honour this process and at least go through the 30 days of questions. And at the same time I know I can tend to get lost in minutiae as a way to avoid Getting Things Done and Out There. 🤪 So I'm curious where the rest of you are at with this creative tension? And whether @Michelle Mahal you have any pointers?

✨ Raw Pull Quote (your voice, lightly edited): “The biggest question wasn’t ‘Can I trust Michelle?’ — I already did. It was: ‘Will I commit to myself?’ Somehow, this process held me so strongly that I stayed with it — and in doing so, I’ve seen golden threads in my life I never saw before.” ✨ Polished Testimonial (with story framing): If you’re on the fence, it might not be about trusting Michelle — it might be about trusting yourself to follow through. That’s what I had to face. I’ve known Michelle’s work for over a decade, so I already trusted her vision. But this process — especially the AI book coach — blew me away. It felt like talking directly to her, illuminating parts of my story I didn’t even know were gold. I realised I do have a story worth telling — not just for me, but for the next generation in my family, and even beyond. That shift alone cracked something open. This work is deceptively simple, but it goes straight to the core. It’s helped me see how even the painful parts of my past — like being the “keeper of secrets” — have shaped my creative voice. I’m so glad I said yes.
