Hello everyone! I'm excited to know more about this community and seeing new faces... meeting new people! The Joy Recovery Project... COUNT ME IN!

Hi everyone! Grateful to be in the group. Im Tyra and Im a licensed professional counselor in the State of Maryland with over 20 years of experience spanning direct clinical care and care advocacy. In 2018, I took a break from my private practice and continued to work as an administrator for public health. I experienced a great deal of betrayal trauma from an narc abusive marriage... but more devastating was the loss of my mom Nov 2021 and ripple effect of losses after that loss. I didn't think I'd return to providing direct care. I spent much of 2022 building a cake brand and was resolute in the idea of baking cupcakes the rest of my natural life. 😂 But life purpose has a way on getting us back on track... so here I am living as my authentic self, back in the world of direct care. Being a private practitioner and working from home, I feel disconnected from other helping professionals often. Im grateful to find this community for ME to grow. I hope I can offer the same support. Thank you.
