Where did spring go in kansas.
Dang it's already 90 during the day and we are in drought conditions. Typically this is wet season for north east kansas. Are the flowers blooming in your neck of the woods?

have have shocked daffodils and tulips, hyacinth all except crocus were hit hard from us being warmer than average and getting what I hope is our last cold snap. Spring in kansas has clear signals. Blooming forcithia is clear as day spring has arrived along with the daffodils and tulips. So seems like nature is out of wack.
Something we learned recently
What is something that you have learned recently about plants, landscaping or horticulture? I have learned that tulips require a deep cold in the winter in order for then to bloom.

Switch to distilled if possible. And check your watering intervals for aloe it likes soil on the dry side. Can actually tolerate long periods of drought naturally. Temperature too they must stay warm even a cold window can make them look weak

@Brennan Thompson http://plantinggianttrees.fpfundraising.com/ There are some amazing peonie varieties and sunflower varieties. I'm not to sure about hydrangeas. But take a look at inventory 50% goes to the launch of Planting Giants. Which I need to get clear on the mission statement and goals.
