@Antwione Boone Credit Bureau Response Window - Under the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), the bureaus have 30 days from the date they receive your dispute to investigate and respond. - If you sent them about 2 weeks ago, you’re right in the middle of that waiting period. - Sending a second round too early can actually work against you because they may label your dispute as “duplicate” or “frivolous” and stall you. Recommended Approach 1. Wait for the response – let the 30-day clock run. You want their written investigation results in hand before you move to round two. 2. Use certified mail tracking – count 30 days from the day they signed for your letter (not the day you mailed it). 3. Plan your next move – your second-round letter will depend on their reply: ✅ If they delete: Great, no need for round 2 on that item. ❌ If they verify: That’s when you escalate with a Method of Verification (611 request) or hit the furnisher directly. If they stall / ask for more info: You reply addressing the stall and reasserting your rights. 4.

Question for the group
I’m about to send off some disputes and was wondering when I go through my report and find inaccuracies do I attach a copy of my report that has the inaccuracies or do I just sight the accounts that has the inaccuracies. Thank you in advance group!!!

@Joseph Alexander Not a stupid question at all, you’re right to ask because the bureaus will stall you if they can’t verify who’s mailing the dispute. Always include copies (never originals) of the following: - Driver’s license or state ID - Social Security card (or W-2/1099 with SSN) - Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or lease) That way they can’t kick it back saying “we couldn’t verify identity.” Make it easy for them to process your dispute and you’ll save yourself a round of delays.
