making Foundations my own.
I have begun taking the foundations course. I watched every video, read every lesson, and tried to work it, but I have found over the years, and its also true here, that i learn in a different fashion than most. I understood conceptually most of what is in the course, but the problem arose that i could really figure out how to get started. like a roadblock. So, i decided i would put the entire foundations course inside of a folder system, the lesson map, the video transcripts, the text lessons. and then i used CLAUDE.md and CONTEXT.md, to give claude context on myself, who i am, where i am in life, what my goals are, what my aspirations are, how i learn best, my learning constraints. and trained CLAUDE to me by personal tutor for ICM. this has been working out fantastic, i got to use what im learning to create a system, that is better at teaching me, than i would have ever been by myself.

@Darren Soares the way i am thinking about it now is make a top level folder that contains all "entities" and acts as basically a second brain, and then within that folder is there the "construction business" folder, and "app developer" folder, and the "lead gen business" folder, and the "personal brand folder", and then inside of each of those, is the workspaces that each dept. lives in. im scared to commit to something like that yet, but also worried if i build them all separately, i may end up wanting that later.

@Mira Bradshaw i appreciate the ego boost and encouragement. thank you!
How does everyone get Claude/AI to consistently follow ICM / Jake methodology on every build?
I've been working on this and have something that somewhat works, but I keep running into pieces that get messy and don't hold up well in practice. My current approach: the image I've attached lives in my AGENTS.md at the root of the project, so any time I build, the AI has the structure to reference. What I'm really after is the best way to implement the ICM system so that anything I build, Claude/AI already knows the way to build and stays inside that structure. Is anyone else doing this? Would love to hear how you've set it up.

@Jordan Shaw fantastic feedback. thank you very much. i will be taking this advice to heart. I can share the sentiment of being new to this way of thinking, im a carpenter 😅. Thanks for the offer of future discourse, and i will be sure to take you up on it as the need arises.

@Jordan Shaw @Darren Soares , enjoying your conversation. It’s encouraging to see us all having different talents, and putting the pieces together from different angles. Here’s my submission to the website check out. Www.lucasconstructionfl.com
📚 We want to hear what YOU want to read about! 🫵
What do you wish you understood better? 👇 I want to hear from everyone. Every level. Day one or day one thousand. There's no question too small, too basic, or too "I feel like I should already know this." If you've ever wondered how something works, what something means, or how to do it, that's exactly what I want. Two quick things 👇 1️⃣ Vote in the poll for the big topics you want more of. 2️⃣ Drop your specific question in the comments. The more specific, the better. The comments can serve as building a list from your answers. The creators in this group are incredible, and once we know what you're asking for, we can make the content that answers it. (This is a post aimed at helping all of us make more engaging content) Even if you mostly read and rarely post, this is an opportunity to have someone write about something you may not have an answer for. One question from you might be the exact thing ten other people were too shy to ask. 😊 We learn together, we grow together, we win together! 🤓💪🏆Bas Question: What do you want us to make more content on?

right now, i would just like to get off the ground. learning the material here, has been like foinding a doorway on the beach to another dimension. so i would like to find more help just landing my brain capsule.
Perfection is my enemy
One thing I’m learning in AI is that you can create something genuinely useful even if it isn't polished or fully vetted. Honestly, I'm creating things I don't even fully understand. ha ha We see other folks showing off their latest success and eyes-wide-open stare at the screen thinking "Sheesh. They are so impossibly smart." Maybe I'm the only one doing that. But there are a few things to understand. First, not everything we think is “perfect” is actually perfect. Sometimes it is just the best version we can see from where we are standing. Second, we don't all have the same background, so what I think is a "Win" is a win for me. It might not be a win for you. What I struggle with sometimes is wanting my work to be as perfect as I can make it BEFORE I share it with anyone. That's why I didn't enter any competitions until Comp 7. I really didn't want to be embarrassed. But, I entered anyway thinking I'll just do my best and learn from the process of building. I'm SO GLAD I DID. A few things I learned: -Your first version can be messy. -Your folder structure can change. -Your workflow can have gaps. -Your system can grow. That does not mean it failed. It means it is becoming something. I think sometimes we wait to build until we can make the “perfect” version, but the perfect version usually comes after the rough one teaches us what we actually need. AI gives us so many new ways to create, test, and improve. I don’t want to miss that because I’m overthinking every piece before I begin. So here’s my little reminder, mostly to myself, but perhaps also to you: Make the thing. Let it be imperfect. Pay attention to what it teaches you. Then make it better. I appreciate each one of you and the way you encourage me and one another.

i just found this community over the weekend, and THIS POST was my life, everything takes hundreds of iterations, and then i come to realized i packed so many features, and ideas, that its impossible to parse thru the noise to find something useful or module in it. i really hope that committing to this process, will help to organize my thoughts, ideas, and help me become a better cog, in the machine of my aspirations.
