I think it depends on what you mean by meditation. The term has many meanings. Historically there are about 7-8 levels of the process, and one of them is a matter of focus and contemplation. Which is often what we mean. That can be breathwork, or an ice bath, or a drive to work. I have taught meditators and meditation teachers for over 10 years, and I have yet to teach anyone that does not benefit from 5-20 minutes of framing to start the day, and is only boosted with clearing all other thoughts, contemplation on a scripture, and either a calming or energizing breathwork. It all depends on the constitution of the individual. My advice is to start a short routine with a learned guide everyday for 30 days and adjust as needed.
