Welcome!
In the beginning before [A.I.R] I was caught in a cycle of emotional and verbal abuse, mixed with episodes of violent behavior. I found myself trapped in a pattern of tension, verbal attacks, and hollow apologies. When I received an “apology” for the verbal abuse, it came with the expectation that I should act as if it never happened. I wasn’t going to accept being blamed, told I deserved it, and labeled as the one who was being abusive.. It led me to one question and would like to know your thoughts- How does someone learn to understand their behavior is abusive?
