Making stuff
Hey everyone I got a question. The last 3 years I been enjoining just making things. I have learned a lot along the way. I even started a small business and I’m apart of a Saturday market this summer. Things have been going really well, however because I like making things, all the stuff I see at the market, Pinterest, or YouTube I want to make an identical project. My question is if anyone goes through this and what do you do if you have started to accumulating a bunch of finished projects? Would you sell them, give them away? The projects are kinda close to the projects I see and they technically aren’t my ideas. For example if I decide I to learn how to make a coffee table, do I make it with the intention to get rid of it/sell it? I don’t have room for a coffee table haha. Let me know what you think. Thank you
Inspiration
Hey everyone! My name is Trevor Short. I am excited to join this community and wanted to share my inspiration. I am still very new to woodworking but not new to working with my hands. I have been working with Leather the last three years and I been wanting to do projects with wood and leather. Some big inspiration I’ve grown up with is music and machines. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years now and I have been a machinist for about 8 years now. At home I have a shop with a laser, a lathe and plan to get a CNC machine soon. My goal is to start making guitars and apply all the materials and skill I’ve learned to make masterpieces. However I’m still learning. I really look forward to getting some feedback on my project to better myself. Attached is a cribbage board I made for my Pop’s for Father’s Day and I can’t help but think how cool it would be if it was made with hardwood. I will probably make something similar in the future. Look forward to chatting with everyone. Thanks

@Leonard Armstrong haha you sure you’re not a bandwagon fan hahaha just kidding. Ya I been looking at the Shark HD510 CNC from Next wave or the Altmill 4x4. If you have any suggestions let me know. Thank you by the way.

Hey Victor. I’m new here. I’m excited to have found a woodworking group. Not very good but definitely plan to learn, mess up, ask questions and improve.
