I have a tilt trailer. Pretty nice and easy to use Kauffman makes them for like $12k. Pretty affordable
Growth Opportunity
Something I had learned from was not planning well enough or educating myself enough, and I pride myself in researching and running the pros/cons . Case in point. I have a bobcat t86 and mulching head that weigh about 16k lbs total. Pair that with my bumper pull trailer we are over 20k lbs total. I thought the hard part was to find a trailer that could pull this without doing the gooseneck (I just didn't want to mess with a gooseneck and wants the bed space and found bumper pulls to be a better priced) Here is the lesson I learned was that Class V hitched only go up to 18,500lbs. I failed to realize finding something that can pull 21k lbs was difficult and limited. The only flabed manurfacture that offers this capability is CM which has a 24k hitch. So now I am having to install a new flatbed on my truck a $6,300 learning experience. So anyone wanted to do a bumper pull trailer with a heavier machine take note!

@Ron Mattson Just get the CDL. Cost me $4k but I just practiced on their semis and took test once my 2 week permit was done. I didn't have to do the full 40 hours classroom stuff since I was just doing it for my self.

@John Tyznik Honestly I didn't realize the towing aspect would be such a pain with bumper pull

CAT 275xe l2 VS Bobcat T86
I am at a critical point in the starting phase in picking a machine. They are both 205-215k here in north Texas. I’m thinking CAT however i thought i have read on some reviews that it’s cooling package doesn’t perform as well as bobcat. At that price i will have to go used it do monthly rentals for the first few months. Does anyone have any advice for a newb like me.

I just got the T-86 and it has the same upgrades they were talking about with the version 2. better filter and guards etc. It's all realtively the same. I upgraded to triple flang and 5 link suspension. Used it for about 4 hours on my own property and I'm happy with it. Like everyone else its all basically the same. Went with bobcat because of dealership and then brand. Have fun.
