Hey yall, Travis in Texas! I'm super new to land wholesaling but not to sales, analytics, or real estate. I've got some education, top is probably my GMBA from National Taiwan University, but thats just paper at this point haha. I've spent 4 years in corpo America doing analytics then 5 years in d2d sales, recruiting training reps, and pushing out new markets by growing and launching new sales teams. I've done the high volume cold prospecting loop for years in teh texas and florida heat haha and spent my most recent 2 years in SFD acquisitions, buyer and BDC operations. Big part of why land appeals to me, my first deal with a SFH buy where we are replatting half the land into 2 or 4 additional lots, some mix of selling 2 and building on the other 2. I like that the buy box is super solid and we basically get to step back into the opportunity by creating value via outreach. Right now I'm just focused on learning the acquisition process well enough to get into a couple markets, as well as my own, and really pull the right parcels, underwrite them, get some conversations going and then land my first land deal. Not too worried about the outreach portion, d2d sales already has me calloused on that part haha. I've spent more than a few summers knocking in Texas and Florida so sitting inside making calls sounds pretty good. So if anyone is looking to mentor someone that you know is willing to work for it, im down. Look forward to learning from everyone and hopefully contributing some nuggets once I get rolling.
