You CHUM the water so the fish practically jump into your boat BEFORE you put your "bait" and "hook" in the water. The "scent trail" brings the fish to you. It also TRIGGERS a FEEDING RESPONSE before they ever get to you. Now... ❌You can't chum the water with STRAWBERRIES. Fish DO NOT LIKE strawberries. 🍓 Humans think they're delicious... Just like a biz owner thinks their PRAHDUKT is delicious. But fish think strawberries are blucky. Just like prospects think features of PRAHDUCTS are icky. Do ya feel me? So we want to CHUM the water FIRST... Then cast out our bait and hook. So what is CHUM to our potential clients or customers? There are 5Ps of Pre-selling (Pre-selling is like CHUM) One of the Ps is PRESENT PAIN! Instead of focusing on PRAHDUCT... We want to FOCUS on PEOPLE... And their 👉PRESENT PAIN👈... Now... Going back to my affiliate days when I couldn't afford $5 a click for Online Dating I figured out it was a LOSING BATTLE to talk about "dating sites" (aka strawberries)... I was too dang broke to pay 5 DOLLARS A CLICK! What did I do? I asked a much more useful questions for a Lead Angler... 🎯What is happening BEFORE someone even considers online dating? 🎯What are they thinking about MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY? (Present Pain) 🎯What is/was the TRIGGER EVENT that caused them to go from "never" or "seldomly" thinking about online dating to considering it? Can you guess? ✅Breakups and Divorces! The search volume for BREAKUPS was 300,000+ searches per month... ...and while "dating" keywords had DOZENS and DOZENS of advertisers...and SEO was more competitive than a sailor jonesing for a beer after 6 months of sailing...

I cut my lead "teeth" online as an affiliate. Best thing to ever happen to me biz wise. Because I only got paid a commish of 5% to 50%... Turning attention into leads and then into sales...with HALF or less of the margin... ...Became a SURVIVAL skill. Once I got decent at it... Where I could go into any niche... And turn attention into demand, leads and then sales... I became FINANCIALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE! For example: This was 2005ish... I was in the online dating space. Because online dating was new back then... Online dating was one of the hottest spaces online. Many of the online dating sites paid recurring commish. Here was the CHALLENGE! Everybody and their brother was promoting dating sites. Ads were $5 a CLICK...a lot BACK THEN! SEO was packed like sardines. I was getting 2 or 5 leads a day, but they were super expensive. I was making a few sales, but I was bleeding cash. What did I do? 👉I CHANGED WHERE I WAS FOCUSING. And went from 2 to 5 leads a day, sometimes spending $100 or more. To... 100+ leads a day for the SAME MONEY. ONE CHANGE of focus made my affiliate biz MASSIVELY profitable. ⌚BEFORE: I was focusing on the PRAHDUKT/SERVICE. All the "features" and "benefits" and how "mine" stacked up against all the rest. My BREAKTHROUGH came... By taking my focus OFF of the PRAHDUKT! ⌚AFTER: 👉THIS is YOUR FUN-WORK. And it could be LIFE CHANGING? Because nearly every time I see a biz owner without all the Ready-to-Buy-Now leads they want... I can almost guarantee it's because they are PRAHDUKT FOCUSED! Changing the focus... VERY OFTEN results in doubling, tripling or MORE their LEAD FLOW... At the same time... Lead cost goes way DOWN...(Time, energy AND $ cost.) ...Quality goes WAY UP! So...
