Good morning! I am looking for some advise on filing for both disability and social security. I just turned 62 in July. I have a bilateral pulmonary embolism June 30, 2025. I have tried to work at my job ever since but had been unable to work full time. I have used my short term disability twice since then. I have recently been off work since April 6, 2026 and it is about to run out. Dr says I have some heart and lung damage and it also has affected my kidneys. Diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, rapid heart rate and chronic kidney disease. I have tried multiple times to go back to work. I make it about an hour and I get dizzy lightheaded and my blood pressure bottoms out. Dr’s don’t seem to know how to fix this except toss another pill at me which isn’t working. I feel my employer is going to fire me as I am a health hazard due to my health condition. They have been understanding so far, but you never know. What is the best way to do this?
