@Linda Whitman I had one of these as well and it was my favorite. I had several different Bibles, but I lost them all in the fire. I have yet to replace any. We received a family Bible as a gift but it’s not one that I really enjoy reading.

@Linda Whitman yes, my husband escaped safely with minor burns, I was at work. Family bibles were hard, but in the end, just things…. The memories of singing in church with my grandparents are intact and so that’s more worth than any Bible.

Yes, often. More often since our house fire. While we have seen the blessings within the ashes- like my husband's missing wedding ring being the first thing he picked up out of the ashes, to the volunteer electrician who wired our cabin for free and bought lights to bring light into our home. But I just take a breath, count the blessings and know in the future, I will bale to look back and see more blessings.

@Jillian Davis He also left us a note on the electrical panel for us including John 15:2 and blessings. I often find we don't understand until later how much we also receive when we bless others!

"Lean on me, when you are not strong" also a song lyric.... heard in my head this morning during my morning swim, I had the whole pool to myself and when I finally quieted my mind that is what I got.

@Jimilyn Butt This rings so true for me as well! I will try several times to quiet my mind and just focus on waiting and listening and my mind wanders again! :)

I use my evening devotional time to pray and my morning swim time is my special quiet time with Him that I block out all other things. That is my worship time with Him alone.

@Jillian Davis depends on the day, sometimes I think of and direct needs, prayers. Other times trying hard to just listen, relax and wait. I am not planning, or anything, just being with Him in the moment as much as I can.
