I have an opportunity to "rent" a shaved ice trailer for 10% of the sales next summer. This would be a project to dip my toes in the water of vending before going all in with hot dog cart. I know nothing about shaved ice and margins involved. Anyone here have any insights?

Has anyone tried using a small business loan to get the money to start a hot dog cart and if so is it worth trying for?

My ego’s fully dependent on helping folks. I get my self-worth from watching people quit their jobs and make rent selling wieners. I’m old. I drink too much, smoke like I’m sponsored, and eat bread like it’s a food group. Still, every morning I wake up wanting to help more people flip the bird to a boss and build something that’s theirs. If you’re in one of those crazy-ass Facebook groups with 11TEEN million “vendors” arguing about which mustard brand attracts angels or how long to steam a hot dog before it “finds its purpose”… do your civic duty.Grab the three real ones and drag ‘em over here before the stupid spreads. We’re not doing boiled sadness on a bun.We’re not listening to “my cousin used to have a cart in 1997” guy. We’re not calling someone a “pro” because they once sold nachos at a yard sale.
