Hey Everyone, What are your thoughts on the article published by the FMCSA on Friday regarding the buying or leasing of mature authority? I’ve always been curious about how that process actually works, and it’s also been a concern of mine that someone could potentially use an authority without the owner’s knowledge. I’d be interested in hearing everyone’s perspective on this.

Since our goal is to create an Active Community of Professionals that help each other Educate and Inform about important topics regarding Freight Transportation Logistics it is time once again to purge our membership. Hello, I wanted to inquire if it would be possible to reduce my insurance coverage or adjust the policy temporarily while I wait on aging my authority. At this time, I am not running many miles or securing loads consistently, and the current insurance cost is creating a significant overhead expense. My goal is to remain compliant while also managing expenses until I am able to secure more consistent work. If there are any options available to lower the premium, reduce mileage, or adjust coverage during this period, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. I am a new owner-operator with a cargo van based in Braselton, GA. My authority has been active for a little over 30 days, and I am fully FMCSA compliant.
